I kind of wonder what it would be like if the US and China combined and became something similar to the EU. Link to comment

I kind of wonder what it would be like if the US and China combined and became something similar to the EU.I certainly love to see America and China do something just like this. I do believe that the outcome would be an unbeatable combination. Is it just me or do others feel as though sometimes other countries are combining forces in one way or another in competition against America? We have not been very popular worldwide it would seem over the last 8 years especially. Larry Link to comment
Eric739
This thought reminds me of a story that appeared buried in the newspaper right in the height of the Vietnam War. I don't know why I remembered it. Some called him a crazy man for his dreams and visions. But many listened to the old man, the sage, the Chinese village doctor who was interviewed by the American newspapers. They called him crazy for saying that this war would be over despite many years of blood. And the North Vietnamese would win. He also said China and America would join together and create heaven on earth. I hope he was right.... Link to comment

whome?
A very interesting article. Thanks for the link. I found the last two statements insiteful: It's a more complicated society, it's an incredibly confident society, and it still has 800 million people mired in intense rural poverty. And they seem to have come up with a formula that, while it violates every Western notion of how a country should develop and become rich, works better than most of the formulas Westerners have had for the last 40 years. Robert S.
The combined new country will be too unwieldy to be a democracy. It will have to be a dictatorship. And this child when he grows up will be the Chairman. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo194/possumrex/ry3D400.jpg Here he is undergoing weapons training. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo194/possumrex/DSC01455.jpg He is already working on cannon design for his army. http://i375.photobucket.com/albums/oo194/possumrex/jville0809075.jpg Don't say I didn't warn you.
