clarejinjin
Need some help to get started.I have been in China on and off since 1987. I moved to Xiamen 2 1/2 years ago and married my wife. We knew each other for about 1 year before getting married. I have lived with her and her daughter (9 years old) for the past 2 1/2 years. My question is now we want to Immergrate to the USA. Daughter also. How do we start the process? My wife has been to the USA twice for visits of 3 and 1 weeks. We bought a home in California (cash) only because the housing market is so low at this time. Her name is on all my banking accounts and the home title. I'm retired and get my retirement and S.S. plus we do some exporting out of China to the USA. We have an apartment in Xiamen we will sell when we get the PINK paper.Any help would be great!!!!!I'm knew at this so if you can help me with the right way to use this form let me know. Thanks!! Start here: http://candleforlove.com/FAQ/CFL_FAQ_DCF_Final1.htm http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=i130guide1 (However you will file this at the US Consulate, not USCIS in the USA) A big CATCH is US Domicile, you must have and maintained a US domicile in order to sponsor an immigrant, IF you do not have domicile you will need to re-establish domicile. This is needed at the time of visa interview, NOT when filing. MORE: http://travel.state.gov/pdf/I-864GenInfo-FAQ-Final.pdf Link to comment

dnoblett
As I stated, we just bought a home in California and both names are on the title. Does this qualify as a USA domicile?Yes it does, the question of domicile is satisfied. Attach a copy of the title to the I-130 petition. As well as to the I-864 that will be required at the interview. Link to comment

xiaofeizhu
My husband and I DCFed in 2008 (in January) so if you have any questions about the DCF process, feel free to PM me or ask me here and I will do my best to help you! There are also several others who are going through the DCF process right now and I believe one of them is IR-1. (My hubby and I were CR-1, but I don't think it matters much if you are CR-1 or IR-1) Link to comment

I K1'd from Xiamen, last Oct - and currently spend most of my time in my house in Hawaii. All the advice is great for DCF from Xiamen - with what you've outlined. There are a couple of "local-ism's" for Fujian Province I will share under separate PM, so as not to bore others. There are also several of us form Xiamen (K1/K3 etc) but I don't think I know of any who have done a DCF from Xiamen - just random circumstances no anything wrong with it. It should be the quickest and best for you with your circumstances. FYI - we still have our place in Xiamen as well as a car.
