Collecting US Quarters (Coin)

Yesterday I showed some Quarters to my wife. I pointed out to her that some quarters have state names and symbols on the back of Washington. Now she is collecting them and learning about each state's history.

I think she will find US history a much shorter lesson then Chinese history.

Now what is a measley 5700 years or so? I think her ancestors were writing philosophy when ours were living in caves and drawing stick figures on the walls

Interesting Tony. Li has also been collecting these quarters as well. She has quite a few of them now. Each time she is given a quarter in change, she looks to see if it is a state she doesn't have. Great idea.

You'll have to get her one of those maps that you put the quarters in for each state. Wal-mart used to sell them but I don't know if they still have them or not. I am sure you can still get them from the US mint.

We have found the maps in garage sales for a dollar a piece. A lot better price than you can get from the governtment for sure.

That is great the way the wives of you guys are learning so much about America!!! With a good attitude like that they will probably go on all the way to get their citizenship.
