Interview slip color

Recommended Posts

Guest ShaQuaNew

White is death (denied)?

Pink is celebrate (approved)?

I suspect there more colors and meanings, what are they?

Can someone explain?

B)

Hint - you may wish to post with a different color

I never much liked referring to paperwork by the color. It's confusing, especially when colors change. It seems to have caught on a bit though, as many people refer to the color of a slip to indicate an interview result. I think it more important to refer to the actual result rather than the color. A few of the results are:

1. Approval

2. Denial

3. Request for Additional Evidence

I always have to go back and check to see what color means what. DavidZ has them pretty well identified in his EasyFAQ.

The EZ FAQ is a great compendium put together by DavidZixuan (one of the mods here).

It changes from time to time. When my wife and I went through the process a white slip was an approval, a blue slip was wanting more evidence and a pink slip came with the blue slip explaining in more detail what they wanted. The only one that's stayed the same is a blue slip.

I hear PINK is approval

Blue they want more evidence

and white is denial

essentially yes...

blue is a request for something more... time, info, evidence, or for additional [administrative] processing or review. Multiple blues are not uncommon.

white a denial that nothing more is accepted and the case is being returned to USCIS.

BLACK - :P I can choose? !! (not sure of the colors you advise of)

:D

You have already chosen 2 different posting colors.

Blue is the color for "need more evidence"

Of course, you're welcome to post in any color you choose
