esun41
We received the 797 receipt a few weeks ago saying my payment had been received for the $545. Yesterday, she received the notice for scheduled biometrics in Dallas on January 10th. This is a Saturday! Are they open on a Saturday? I'm guessing they are. The Government doesn't make mistakes do they? I had a Lawyer's assistant tell me that this is moving quickly and that we may not even have an interview for her 10 year green card which would be so sweet! Comments? Link to comment
Randy W
Yes, they are Yes, they do Interviews are less common for the 10 yr card Good luck ! Link to comment
esun41
Well then... that's cool and the drive will be traffic free for the most part. A trip to the Hong Kong Marketplace is in the cards! The first notice extended her green card expire date 1 year... Still learning after all this time! LeeFisher3
The biometrics appointments for removal of conditions do come very quickly after filing, but that doesn't seem to speed up the process all that much. The processing time was showing 6 months and we got the green card 5 months after submission. Link to comment
warpedbored
Ours took 7 months even though the biometrics letter came with the NOA about two weeks after we filed. Link to comment
eseum
Don't be surprised if your paperwork gets transferred to another service center for processing. Ours did. Biometrics was fast but it appears that we are on a slow boat to China waiting for the card. Link to comment
esun41
Mailed the application to Vermont cuz I reside in Texas. 6 months seems the norm about anything I ever did in the immigration process. The USCIS should just use the 6 month reply in all they do... Link to comment
