That's what I do... normally cheaper than the stores... but with expensive electronics like computers, definitely pay more to stick with name brand or quality products. The little black rectangular piece that plugs into your laptop is the power ADAPTER. Some of them have a red switch and others you don¡¯t have to flip the switch because the power adapter does it for you automatically. All desktop models have a switch because the power supply is built into the computer and you must manually flip the AC conversion switch which is usually located on the back next to the power cord plug. Depending on the model that you have. I would look on the adapter and see what the specifications are before going into a frenzy looking for a convertor. http://i5.tinypic.com/4qzsktk.jpg You may be surprised that the adapter will self adapt to the power that we have here like the one shown above. If so then any power inverter will do, I see them from time to time at Big-Lots for $20. Walmart, Target, Sears, etc.. Sell power inverters.
