Chinese Characters

I am getting Rosetta Stone in the mail today to learn Chinese <Mandarin>. Was wondering if there is a place on web or any place that I can get the Chinese Characters to learn these as well.

I did the Rosetta stone, if I were you I'd return it and get Fluenz. MUCH better, there is no comparison.

Also check out http://www.livemocha.com/

Any textbook (almost any) learning method would have both the Chinese characters and English text. Check with the Rosetta folks to se ifthey offer a textbook, or buy one at Amazon or anywhere else.

I want to reinforce izus comment here.

Chinesepod is free to try.

You can buy it a month at a time, and at varying levels. I bought the 36$ a year level (just cd quality audio, and the pdf files) then they let me upgrade to the lesons etc. on a month by month basis when I have time.

I used pinsler at first, and if you can spend 30 minutes a day, in your car, running, whatever .. it is a good starter, and will get you able to say common phrases.

To be honest though, my BEST teacher has been my wife. Since she arrived, I try very hard to say the right things when she teaches me new words/phrases. The learning is not as fast as a class, but more fun, and almost painless (unless she and our daughter laugh at me .. or when I mispronounced eye, and it meant another body part .. )
