Is it just me or is there this "get rich quick" mentality in China??? Isn't their stock market really a thinly disguised casino... :redblob: Well these poor folks came out on the short end of the limb... :greenblob:

Yes, yes and unfortunately they did. The question is did they learn the mentality, market system and pyramid schemes from us or did we learn it from them? :toot:

In this case I think it is a two way street........

We each learned things that we should have and shouldn't have learned.

Sad as that may be such is the school of hard knocks.......

And that same mentality isn't thriving in the States, too?

It seems to me that Chinese have a special affinity for gambling Bill. My wife has known several people in her hometown who had to disappear... :plane: because of gambling debts they could not pay... ;) When I lived in San Francisco I marveled how on Friday afternoon the buses would be lined up in Chinatown to take hordes of gamblers to Reno for the weekend...

They do like gambling.

But the overwhelming majority of gamblers in vegas or Atlantic City are not Chinese. :P
