However, if at all possible everyone please file for your temporary EAD card as soon as your fiance enters the US. Even if you know she is not going to work. This temp card is free and it is a legitimate form of picture ID issued by the US government, and most importantly it gets her into the system... Online may seem easier, but from the people I have spoken to it is really not the best way. Link to comment

We got married, filed AOS and EAD at same time, was told to come back in one week to get work card. No problems. Local Las Vegas INS office much quicker than national BCIS that made us wait 1 1/2 years. Link to comment
