sparkynow
HELP !!! My Xiao Yun is crazy with anxiety and depression. We filed I129 on Feb. 26,'08 and heard nothing until the first week of Aug. They wanted her translated ,certified and notarized divorce papers, and all pages of my divorce papers ( I sent only my pages with names ,signatures and seals). I was with her for 6 weeks and did not know about their request until I came home on Aug. 22. I signed up for email ,but recieved none, maybe because I did not know they cancel my password every 90 days. She is a clever woman and sent me home with her divorce documents without knowing about the request. I originally sent a copy of her divorce booklet because the I 129 instructions say nothing about being translated, certified and notarized. They received papers .I even included a notarized letter from my ex. stating that I owe her nothing. They said it could take 60 days and 14 days are left. We see so many people with the same , similar or later P1 date ,and some had requests for additional papers, that are now waiting for P 4, have interviewed or have visa now. I am sure there is no trouble in either background. Why is this and what do I do ? Thanks,Rod Link to comment
Toplaw
Actually, Rod, the I-129F instructions say on page 4 under the heading "Translations" that the Chinese divorce documents (any documents not written in English) had to be translated and certified to be accurate. Sounds like you lost your place in the line at CSC, but hopefully they will get you processed soon. Link to comment

But I know of others that had to send additional documents and filed P1 later and are ahead of us. I was venting after a difficult IM talk . I need to take my own advice and be patient. I just don't understand the wide range of dates in the proccess. Thanks Link to comment
chilton747
Every case is different and you can't judge your case by others cases. Some people have to wait. I am a 2 time veteran of long P2 waits. You can contact your congressman and they can have their liaison officer check the status for you. Good Luck!!! Link to comment

Good Luck!!!I think the p2 wait is crazy, how some are fast and others are slow. I am always in awe of the goings on around me, yet I feel stuck, and helpless. I contacted a congressman just in hopes of helping the case a little, however I got 1 letter from them asking for more info and a info release sign-off sheet, but that was weeks ago, and no touch or anything on my case, so I assume it was a lost cause. Sebastian
OK - so you responded to a RFE prior to the P2 or NOA2. The clock starts once again WHEN the RFE stuff is submitted, but .... Your file was not complete when you first submitted.... Your Clock is reset. I'm sorry. If you take a look at some other time lines, you will see that there were many in the past year who had to wait-the-wait for the NOA-2. Moreover, there were some, who had to wait nearly a full year from initial filing until interview date. But who am I to talk, I still have not reached 2000 posts and I have been here for over 2 years. B) Link to comment

Some tend to drive 5-10mph fast and encourage others to do the same, with a train horn. Link to comment

In reality, it probably blows my car back a few miles per gallon, so not far off. Link to comment

Did you fill out the sign-off sheet and send it in? Your P2 wait so far is only 4 months. I doubt your Congressman would see this as a need for urgent action. Link to comment

Tom and Ling
Hi Darnell and sparkynow, If you sent all that was required for the RFE, than like Darnell say "Your Clock is reset".But I don't think it will be as long as the first time.To give you a little perspective....I also had to submit and RFE because I forgot to send my divorce decree for my first marrage (Yes I've been married and divorced twice). Well when I sent the RFE into the Vermont Service Center, they acknowledged on the USCIM website that my petition was back in processing....I got three touches, and about 4 weeks later they approved the petition and sent it to the NVC.So, have hope and it will be OK. Tom and Ling OK - so you responded to a RFE prior to the P2 or NOA2. The clock starts once again WHEN the RFE stuff is submitted, but .... Your file was not complete when you first submitted....
