scooby94 Posted July 8, 2008 Report Share Posted July 8, 2008 Lets say one had an idea of starting a business in the US and needs to get supplies shipped from China, what are the hurdles, regulations, expectations of doing such a thing. one isnt expecting to ship whole trailor of supplies here, just couple of boxes of multiple items for resale. Where can one find out about how to receive shipment, pay tax and other legal stuff and oh yes, how to clear customs. We kind of want it shipped to our business(home). If flying, you declare you have commercial goods and pay duty based on value.If by parcel post or DHL it also depends on quantity and size of shipment.If large shipment you may need broker. The customs agents have a list at POE of every good known to man to be brought in.If you see the book it is about 8 inches thick.
