rogerluli
We will defintely be buying 2 of 'em when we retire in China...Laopo's father rides his for exercise every day...Millions of Chinese rely on this simplest mode of vehicular transport to earn a living, get to work while avoiding the gridlocks in large cities, take the kid to school, etc, etc...In China the bicycle will never die... http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5iIyZDiY...Ef2_xgD91OGJV00 Link to comment
dnoblett
SO, True! My observations of Chinese drivers in China, is that they drive cars like they are riding bikes. Link to comment

DongDong
I agree, especially with the cost of vehicles and gas in China. Just like here, theft always seems an issue though... Except in rural areas, most every thing is with in biking distance.. or if need be... to get to a bus, train, or subway. I think Dan is right about drivers too! I never thought about it, but it seems spot on... Link to comment
chilton747
When I move to China then I will most definitely get one of those 3 wheeled bicycles with a pickem' up truck bed on the back. It will come in handy going to the grocery store! Link to comment
rogerluli
The best vehicle for everyone is subway. For the tiny portion of China served by subways... Sure... But in our towns there is not a subway/underground to be found... Link to comment

IllinoisDave
They have some damn strong tires in China. Dan's pics brought to mind a guy I saw in Shanghai carting around four of those huge plastic water bottles on the back of a two-wheeler. Link to comment
SheLikesME?
What I missed so much from the little town where Xian Aircraft is. Morning rush hour. Nothing like a sea of people, no cars. USA a sea of cars and you can't see or feel the people. Made me depressed for 6 weeks on each return home.http://i37.tinypic.com/2djulw1.jpg I love to see this.http://i35.tinypic.com/11bizki.jpg Some Dude, 2002.http://i36.tinypic.com/9ier0l.jpg Link to comment
