FAILED the Fingerprints

Recommended Posts

Today we went to the "Please come" interview. Turned out the case had sat on the IO's desk for 2 months while she was out of town, and she fired off the letter (with only 7 days notice) when she got back.

Well, Jiaying had been called in twice for her fingerprints. Two of her fingers apparently didn't take, so they want her to get a certified police report. Upon approval, she would get her 10 year card, so we're very happy about all this.

She took a sworn statement, similar to what Pete's (pkfops) wife had to submit by mail. Jiaying's EAD card expires May 15, so I'm not going to worry about renewing that.

Jiaying apparently needs to be more careful with the meat cleaver.

I had to think twice when I read the title......and then read your post twice to make sure I fully understood!

So, based on your statement "so we're very happy about all this"

do I say.....'congratulations'?

 Not yet - since they will need the police report to actually okay it - I think I'll join Pete with a beer to wait by the mailbox. But yes - it's pretty much on the way.

I think you should explain to your wife that failing her fingerprints is pretty bad, she should have studied harder. :D

I'm just trying to figure out how a police report will help the USCIS when they can't get her fingerprints right, but then it's the US of A and we can come up with creative ways around technology. :D

Congratulations, but tell you wife to study more for her biometrics before you go back for Citizenship or the next green card. Above all things have fun with it.

RE: Fingerprints 'taking' -

Duh - that's totally up to the skill of the human MAKING the fingerprints, NOT the person who's being fingerprinted.

WTF ? I swear, this infuriates me to no end- I'd love to submit an invoice for 'wasted time' to the 'candidate for retraining' -government employee and his/her boss.

What a crock of sh|t. Seriously...

In the old days  when Maggie had her finger prints done they used good old black ink. Now days I'm sure they use digital imaging for a faster more reliable process. Am I correct? :D

Maybe its our goverments way of milking you for extra fees!

$70 for biometrics and digital
