Rob ol' buddy. It's okay to get a little "dismayed", and it's okay to wonder how you break news like this to the lil' lady. Just send the fax and call the number...at least you still have options to work.

 

We've just been a short 16 months, 2 weeks, and 12 hours since I sent in my I-129 B)

 

I have learned how to remain calm and keep the glass half full, even to the point of running over, I tell ya.

 

The people here treat me very nicely. Yesterday the medicine the nice lady in the white coat gave me allowed me to talk to God for 7 hours as I watched a snail crawl along the edge of a razor blade. A nice man in a white coat came in a few minutes ago to adjust the straps on the back of my coat so my arms would stay firmly secured as the cross my stomach. They really care about me, they brought in a computer yesterday and put a chop stick in my teeth so I could type. My room has cushy soft rubber walls, there's bars over the windows so no one can break in, and my room isn't crowded up with any furniture. Just me, snug as a bug in a rug in my coat, a bed, and a glass to piss in.

Good idea Rog,

Worth a try. We got our GUZ # in Nov, and were told both by email from (NVC)and phone (DOS)our petition(electronic & paper) was sent on Dec 20th. I dont know if GUZ ever reads or responds to emails, but maybe they would agree to log it in as loaded in Dec not Feb, maybe, maybe, maybe, or at least make a note that it was a very unusual NVC/DOS delay and should go by the original electronic sent date ( was that a pig flying I just saw ) .

Maybe it doesn't matter a hoot, its impossible to tell as they have no answer to give me, except , "local policies & procedures"

 

Not quite sure how to break this to Jin, wont be good, thats for sure. Sorry for the - vibes, just a tad dismayed tonight. We were really hoping on May/ June.

 

 

Oh anyone know a email ad and fax # for GUZ that may actually get read by someone who cares and wont just file it in the can ?

Fax is bad, try emailing. I emailed (with the same email address Mark gave you) GUZ in Dec. about my SH address change (back then I didn't know it'd take THIS long to get P3). Waited 1 week, no reply. Sent fax, no reply. 2nd email asking whether they got my 1st email and fax, they replied said BOTH were LOST. 3rd email, resent my new address and asked for confirmation of the address change in their system. 3rd email reply, they copy&pasted their 2nd email reply and marked blue and black as if I couldn't read their reply last time. 4th email, I got pissed off, wrote them a politically correct angry email, again with my new SH address. 4th email reply, they NICELY confirmed that my address change has been recorded in their system (and also said that my fax from a long time ago was "miraculously" found).

 

So my conclusion, you just gotta keep emailing them until they reply and give you what you want to hear.

 

No need calling the paid #, I called them and they gave me the GUZ email address and told me to contact them directly. @_@

I've emailed GUZ & NVC and will call DOS every day to monitor progress.If no progress in a couple of weeks I will get my elected rep on the case.But i'm sure this is a easy fix, after all we live in the digital computer age.

Ah Mark, this is what you don't understand... A woman always knows how to express something angry in ways that not allow the listener to pick on her anger but at the same time sense that they'd better give her what she wants though she's polite at the moment. Ah ha, now that's just a skill...aside from the skill that keeps that "dange big flower" in her hair... Is it really that big??? I did have the option of picking a smaller flower... HAHA~

Ok, just got off the phone with DOS, spoke with a really nice "Specialist" who said she will request NVC to resend the "Electronic petition" took my phone # and said she will call me in a couple of days once GUZ has it.

Hope she lives up to it.

A woman always knows how to express something angry in ways that not allow the listener to pick on her anger but at the same time sense that they'd better give her what she wants though she's polite at the moment. Spoke to DOS on friday, NVC hasn't sent the electronic copy yet, he said give it 2 weeks until NVC respond to the request. Unfortunatly he confirm that the request was even sent or received. B)
