yanhua
in my p4, i think they mentioned an available exit card to the U.S. I know it is a piece of paper, attached to your passport and would be torn off by the custom official in China when you leave...if that is your first time leaving the country. I had an exist card when i left China last year and it was already torn off. In this case, do i still need that paper? I do not think i can get one, cause it is for people on the 1st trip abroad. Does anyone know it? Link to comment
owenkrout
Need to get an answer from one of the people now in China, but I believe that the Chinese government has now stopped requiring the seperate exit card. The passport alone is now sufficient. You used to have to get special permission to leave the country each time. My wife had an old exit card from when she got her passport in 2000 but didn't need it for this trip. Link to comment
Mick
When we left China on March 28th, no exit card was required. Just the passport. Link to comment
wolf
My Fiancee couldn't go to HongKong even with her passport, she needed a permission slip from the local police in ShenZhen. But when you have a US visa than the passport and visa is all you need. Link to comment
