iyan46
I'm sure it could be changed at a Chinese Embassy ... but i don't think she could " send " it .. she would have to take it in along with a copy of marriage licence and current visa and anything else pertaining to her being in the US.. the only Embassy i know of is in Washington DC ... but i'm sure there are others.... i think i remember someone saying there is one in Chicago and one in New York ... has to be others around somewhere. Check online for Chinese Embassy's and do a locate ... should be easy enough Link to comment
IllinoisDave
There's a consulate in Chicago. I'd try to get over to that one before you move.I do believe you need to go in person. http://chicago.china-consulate.org/eng/ EDIT:It looks like Visarite will do it via mail.http://www.visarite.com/Chinese_Passport_Name_Amendmant.htm Edited December 20, 2007 by IllinoisDave (see edit history) Link to comment

Jason+Joanna
We updated Joanna's passport at the Chinese Consulate in Los Angeles. Marriage Certificate and Green Card copies were provide. The cost was $10.00. The consulate just puts an amendment to the passport stating that she is also known as New Name. We did it so her green card matches her green card. Link to comment
