She is going to Guangzhou next week to get her medical done and she can stop at the embassy then. Dave As others have stated above she will have a very difficult time getting access to a US official at the Consulate Visa Unit without being a US citizen or having an Interview Invitation letter. She will also likely not be able to take the medical examination without an invitation letter. Therefore the #1 priority is to get the invitation letter matter cleared up and then take the medical.
