RESERVATION CONFIRMATION

I just reserved Mickey's Retreat Lakeview Pavillion for October 13, 2007. There should be more than enough room and fun activities for all. October 13th is on a Saturday. Those who are interested in also partaking of the Disney Theme parks should feel free to PM me. Again, this event will occur on Walt Disney World property, but in a private area away from the hustle bustle of the parks.

All are welcome:

Here is a screen snap of the Mickey's Retreat area for those wanting to get an idea of it's location. Again, away from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks, house of blues, epcot, magic, kingdom, animal kingdom, typhoon lagoon, wet and wild, disney mgm, planet hollywood, La Nouba, Cirque du Soleil, Universal Theme park, but yet close enough to where you can get to it in minutes.

Hmmm ... maybe I missed the context ... is this a national CFL gathering?

We might be able to make it ... more info please ...

Jim, this was originally a Florida get together. However, we are encouraging everybody to come. The date has been set for October 13, 2007. In addition, it looks like Bill, (Izus), is working on getting members from wowpictures to attend. Please click on his link above to find out more info about that great organization. I know some out of State CFL members have indicated that they will be coming too. A few of us know other American/Chinese families that will be attending. We have set this up as a pot luck affair. The facilities has grills and I have volunteer to grill... :mbounce: For more info, (if you are a CFL member), find the topic Tampa, Fl under the Contact List Category. Jim, love to see you guys here and everybody else ....Chef.... :D

Where will people from out of town stay? My son and I used to stay at Masters Inn Maingate - it's only $45. Off-season prices with such a hotel saturation are very good.

When it comes to rooms and prices there is something to fit everyone's budget and taste. There are some special rates available for those that want to stay on Disney property. Additionally, there is a facility on property called frontier land that will accomodate those that wish to camp out or stay in a trailer. Hotel prices close to the theme parks tend to be a bit higher than than those in other places. So, if your interested in saving a few bucks, try looking for prices in the Kissimmee, St. Cloud, Dr. Phillips, Maitland, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs areas. Most of these areas are within easy reach of I-4, which is the interstate that takes you to the theme park areas. While traffic can be a bit crazy at times, all in all, it's not too bad really, especially if you travel in the early morning or evening.

Unfortunately at the moment it looks likely that I'll be in Pakistan on that date. BTW, did you know that the 13th is the first day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday this year, marking the end of Ramadan.
