credzba
I took other peoples time lines and tried to put together an estimate of when things would happen for me. What I'd like to ask of you experts is did I miss anything, are my estimates in the ball park of reality, and who gets what forms when? The DS-3032 and the I-864 timing really confuse me. Isn't there medicals and other stuff that has to happen before the interview? 05/08/2007: Married in Nanjing05/29/2007: Mail I-130 application06/20/2007: NOA1 (I-797C) arrives in my mail. Received in a week (9/17/07)- Time to finish at NVC is depending on USC (and shortcuts), but ranges from 3-6 months (1/5/2008)- Receive P4 is about 100 days (4/10/2008)- Interview date about 30-50 days (5/15/2008) The only part you have any control over is NVC... if you follow through quickly and pursue some shortcuts you can do it in 3 months.. otherwise, add time... Once you get P4, your lady will pay for a medical & vaccinations (Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai) and turn in various forms... See the Links & Resources for FAQs... Finally... welcome to CFL..I'm adding you to the timelines.. Link to comment

This just means they will start work on our application.---- The rest are just estimates ---- 9/18/2007 NOA2 arrives in my mail. For medical exam forms and immunizations, what forms are sent out and when? I have read the discussions, but it isn't clear to me the order things happen. My goal is to set up a projection, with forms due when, and then track to see how it comes out. Hopefully this will be useful to the next person so they can estimate their final date, and so they know what form to expect when. Edited June 21, 2007 by credzba (see edit history) Link to comment
dnoblett
To give you a solid estimate, check VJ CR-1/IR-1 timelines and filter for China, and perhaps filter also for your service center. There is a lot of statistical data built up in VJ's timelines section, I found it very useful, I did some analysis on their data, after receiving our NOA2, and guessed our interview date, and was within 5 days of getting it right. SEE: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list...na&dfile=No I took a look, but there is very little IR/CR data, and most of them actually go K3. Based on the changes made recently I wonder if those dates are accurate for IR/CR petitions? I guess I should just not plan too much, and just try to get the forms back as quickly as possible. david_dawei
For any forms, you can start at this pinned topic and click on CFL Forms Locator: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19303 Also see the EZ-FAQ, particularly the NVC section on CR1 comments and flowcharts. I think these two resources will answer and fill in gaps. The DS-3032 is the first form, and most assign the "agent" as the USC... if you want to get through faster! Forms follow after that... The P4 forms that GUZ mails out go to the chinese national (regardless of what you put on the DS-3032).... this will be when you get DS-230 part II (part I is done at NVC); sometimes mentioned as OF-230. The P4 also has medical forms... again, look in FAQ... ---- A past member once built a PDF file (33 pages) as a guide through the process.. I've never posted this... some forms are possibly out of date but I should just post it... ---- I have posted this file to the FAQ location... It is really for K1s. demandinggirl
Mine is CR1 without K3, here is the timeline for your reference: 2006-08-16 Sent the forms to TSC2006-09-01 Got NOA 1 from TSC2006-11-03 I-130 got approved2006-12-01 got case number, DS-3032 and I-864 forms from NVC2007-01-29 got P3 from NVC2007-02-15 NVC got my P32007-03-16 NVC sent the package to Guangzhou2007-05-16 called 4008, GZ did not receive the package2007-06-16 called DOS, GZ still did not receive the package In my case, P1 to P3 went well. But the leadtime between P3 and P4 will be very long. Now it is already over 3 months, GZ still did not get the package. Usually they will take 2-3 months for name check after they got it. So I guess mine will take about 1.5 years totally. Link to comment

That should put you closer to 1 year, unless you know something about your case that will cause a delay. Link to comment

Having my wife email the response to ds-3032 will save 2 weeks. Then mailing in bills and forms same day they are requested will save a few days each. My fear is the interview, all these other things are well defined and predictable. The interview is just random. My wife says exactly what she thinks, so if she thinks they accuse her of a fake relationship ... well I wouldnt want to be the VO, but I dont think it will help us get past the interview either. Maybe if I put sedatives in her breakfast Link to comment

That's assuming that there aren't any RFEs along the way. Link to comment
