avastar
Hi G_V, Very good joke, your timeline reflects the way the process should work based on current documentation. In today's arena there is just no way that your processing is happening so quick. I wish it were true, but the odds are remote to impossible. Unless of course you're Colin Powell's son. notsosimple
It seems to me that the DS-230 is nearly the same as the Biographic Data Sheet from the initial application. (G-325A) I think the NVC should have all the info they need based on it. Leisha Link to comment

Guest R2D2
avastar, hey, i did choose a lucky day for vsc to receive it gv donahso, pre-consulate security name checks appears to be the norm now. i confirmed this today with dos and nvc; they call it ' administrative processing' and the eta for mine was ' anywhere from a couple to several weeks'gv any other 2003 applicants here? plzplzplz share.i want a gauge. NVC is DOS. NVC is a processing center in Portsmouth, NH and receives the pakages from the service centers in order to send the packages, by currier, to their respective consulates. VSC is now processing 3/13/03. If you had been better informed, your security clearance was done at the service center in the first of two parts of the process. Your applicant's security clearance is started after the consulate receives the 3rd packet from your beneficiary. Link to comment

The automated line was working. 2) It takes a few weeks to get from the mailroom to being recorded on the computer for your petition and the automated voice system. Link to comment

warpedbored
Hi Im Carl in Portland Oregon and new to this group. I am nearly finished with the I-129 F and 325 A and I am sending them in tomorrow A suggestion for you guys getting ready to go to china. Get your fiance's biographic info before you go fill it out on a fillable form, print it out and take it with you. Have her sign and date it there. It will save you a lot of headaches and be one less distraction while you're there enjoying each others company. Carl Link to comment

CarlFor those newbies who's planning to go to China with forms etc or want to print them out there, I suggest to take some printing papers with you (which I did). I found out they use so called A4 size papers which is longer and narrower than the ones we normally use here. Link to comment
