humuhumu
After 2 blue slips, We finally got a letter from GUZ over the weekend. They asked us to submit my husband's passport from Monday to Wednesday. So my honey is on the way to Guangzhou now. I would like to ask your opinion on this. We already married for 2 years. Should my husband ask Consulate to lift the case from CR1 to IR1 on the spot when he submits his passport? (I wrote an email to GUZ a month ago about this, but found out from DOS that they have not made any change yet). We really would not like to add more complexity to the case. It has been long process for us to come to this point. If there is any slight chance to delay the process, we will definitely keep it silent. But if we don¡¯t' say anything and GUZ did not notice it either, how can we remove the two-year condition once he enters to USA (since two years already passed)? Thanks a lot for your input. david_dawei
He can certainly mention it so that they issue the proper visa.. if they miss doing it on the visa, it would most likely get done at POE. Link to comment
