jameschun321
Hi everyone, I just noticed that on my INS approval notice (I-797) was vaild until Mar. 30th. Do I have to file for an extension and if so, how is it done? Do I write GZ a letter requesting an extension? Thanks for your help. James Link to comment
bobmal99
Because of the length of time getting visa approvals they almost always automatically exrend them. However, it will not hurt to send GZ, an e-mail to check. Good luck.. Link to comment

Guest Long_strider
I sent an email to GZ to request an extension. They responded within 24 hours with the approval for the extension for an additional 4 month. Mi Link to comment
AZwolfman
Yes, you do not have to do anything. They will automatically grant extension. Still, it will give you an excuse to write them and ask any other questions that are on your mind. Link to comment
Mick
Yes, the extensions are automatic. Our's expired around two months prior to the interview. Link to comment
