Pinyin Converter

Recommended Posts

Through my moderately successful endeavors to learn Chinese, I came across this great tool (link is below) that converts words to pinyin. One would enter the word with the tone #, then convert.

Wo3 ai4 ni3 becomes Wǒ ài nǐ .

Of course, you need to input the correct tone. Have fun!

What encoding are you using? Nothing has worked so far (I get a box for the o in Wo and the i in ni), not even Unicode.

It's not my encoding, its in the weblink I sent. Is your computer set up so it can handle pinyin? I am no computer whiz, I had to download another program before mine could utilize pinyin.

It's those little tone marks that it can't handle.

H'mm. Works fine on the other page, but not here.

Technically, it's Romanized not Greek.
