Stephen
I was looking at the letter that I received from NVC telling me that my case has been forwarded to Guz. My wife's first name is backwards... they have the last name right and the dob is right. Her first name is Xunping.. they have it as Ping Xun... What should I do?? Link to comment
fewmgf
The exact thing happened to us. What we did was my fiancee called the embassy and told them of the mix up. They simply requested her to send a copy of her birth certificate and passport. She sent these in with a letter of explanation that I prepared for her. I think it was then sent back to the states for further name check approval, but it did not seem to increase our wait time much. By the time she got P3 it was showing the correct spelling. We had also contacted USCIS some time before to correct her name on the original petition, but the correction apparently not been made in time to be reflected on the letter NVC sent giving us the case number. I had a referal number for this corrective action. edit: is it correct on the I129f? Edited August 30, 2006 by fewmgf (see edit history) Link to comment
