kevinbeijing
Hi,Sent the AOS, AP, and EAD to the Chicago Lock box and they got it on July 5th. To check the processing dates on-line, which center should I look at? Thanks Link to comment
LeeFisher3
The processing dates for AOS are based on your local USCIS district office and not a service center. CIS Processing Dates I didn't see an office in SD so you need to take a look to see where the closest office is located to your home. This may not be the actual office that handles the case, but you won't know for sure until you get the appointment letter for Biometrics. Link to comment
jim_julian
Lee, I'm about to get our package off on Monday (just finished the shots). Our District Office is Santa Ana, CA. They list an I-485 processing date (currently Feb 23) but do not list dates for EAD and AP. Our nearest Service Center is the CSC. It lists I-131 AP (currently Apr 2) and I-765 EAD (currently Apr 2) processing dates. Are AP and EAD processed by your local Service Center? Link to comment
yuehan123
I waited until I got the NOA. The service center address wwas listed there. Link to comment

AP should come from the National Benefits Center but you will do your biometrics and interview at the local office. Extremely strange how they do it. Link to comment
yuehan123
While it's true that our biometrics and Interview were done 'locally' they were done on completely opposite sides of Tampa. Link to comment
castaway109
Still confused. We sent the I-485 and it was receivd April 6, 2005. Then within 2 weeks we got a letter for the biometrics appointment which we went to. She has already received her EAD and SSN this month. I have checked the processing dates online and this is what I have found: The only place that is processing the I-485 based on family is Chicago. The local centers are processing the 485's based on employment or asylum. Am I incorrect? And Chicago, for the last 2 months, is still processing I-485's from February 2005. So, where do I check? We live in Arkansas which uses the Texas Service Center...but they don't process family I-485's. Memphis, TN (the closest district office) is processing 495's from August 7, 2005. So, any idea where I should check??? Arkansas probably has an office but the mule died and the one employee cannot get to work. Link to comment
kevinbeijing
I got an answer to my question by way of a "Request for Initial Evidence"... From Chaicago, our papers went to Lee's Summit, MO. Link to comment
kevinbeijing
I just found out that MSC isn't the Misouri Service Center...it's the National Benefits Center(NBC) like Castaway109 said, but I overlooked... Link to comment

ÕÔÙ»ºÍ³Î°ÛÀû
This FAQ on the NBC sheds some light on what the NBC does and how it fits in to the bigger scheme of things. http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/fieldoffices/nbc/faq.htm Link to comment
kevinbeijing
One more quick question about the NBC: On thier Processing Dates page, they have dates for I-765 & I-131 BUT not for I-485... Seems odd. Is the NBC doing the AOS decission making, or was it sent off to a service center or local office? Our EAD, AOS, & AP all have a MSC#. Thanks Link to comment
jim_julian
Kevin ... have your AOS EAD AP come up on the USCIS Case Status on Line as yet? Ours have not. Link to comment
jamie_nluv
If you want to see other member submitted timelines check: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php for AOS information. Also check: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp for your distrcit office. Every office will process at different speed however all the "pre-processing" is now done nationally (central office)with biometrics scheduled locally. The interview is locally as well .
