Hello Gary:I found your article by doing a Google search. I am one of those who are caught up in this Marriage Broker Law. I'm doing the K1 visa and have only gotten as far as the NOA1 and now it is being held up. I see that USCIS has a "Draft" of a new I-129F form, but, not a clue as to when it will be put out there so we can deal with it. I was wondering if you have any new information. I appreciate all the information I can get. Do you think the law will be overturned? Sincerely,Ron

The I-129F form is only in draft right now.

It should be out in 60 days.

 

If it makes you feel better, IMBRA will apply to everyone

for criminal records, etc.

 

I would not "bet the ranch" on the court overturing the law.

It is possible but not a guarantee.

a good idea I think in general, but there are some privacy concerns here also. Most likely what is driving this is the whole uproar over immigration in general caused by the overflowing southern border with illegals....... I hope that it won't cause problems for those that are genuine in their search....
