Although it's really bad timing and I wonder if anyone has ever asked for a later date before

Congrats David, I take it the online approval you got before was for EAD only? It seems we are all starting to trickle thru the system just like about the same time we went thru GZ.

Our interview date is on March 30 .... I still don't get how they order things ....

 

I know that people have requested time changes before, but I'm guessing it's a hassle .... call the 1-800 No Help line to see what they tell you.

Try waiting for over 20 months! Would've that had suit you?...lol j/k. I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy!..........

Congrats on the interview.

 

I remember reading something about rescheduling on USCIS site, in case of an emergency. If I remember right, it suggested you keep the the original date unless it was absolutely impossible. I'll try and see if I can find it.

Why not look for the Southwest Airline Internet special fare of $59, or so, one-way to Providence or Boston? Save you a lot of trouble (and money) compared to driving back.

 

I'm sure you're joking about asking for a postponement. I guess a Florida 'vacation' would not qualify you for a medical, or other, emergency.
