Thomas Promise
I am preparing my side of our P-4 to send to my SO. What is the BEST carrier I should chose? Any opinions? Link to comment
LeeFisher3
Of the 3 carriers, I have only "seen" DHL trucks in Fushun. Global Priority Mail from the post office has worked well for me but Guaranteed Global Priority Mail was not a good experience. Now if you want some real service you could always send the papers here and my wife could hand carry them over to China, we would only charge you the standard first class round trip ticket price for the service. jemmyell
Hello, I will use EMS (Express Mail) when the time comes. If you are short on time and REALLY paranoid (like me ) you will send two copies by two different carriers. For EMS, BE SURE to declare the contents as 'documents' with no value. There is now a guarantee for EMS to most Chinese cities and the packages are trackable all the way through, including inside China by China Post. It will really help to have the address BOTH in English and Chinese characters. I have standard labels that Loving Candle and I developed (2" x 4") that I put on every side of an EMS box when I send stuff to her. -James Link to comment

mercator
EMS - Global Priority Mail works great so long as the address is in English and Chinese. It will slow down delivery significantly if they have to try and find a translation for her address. EMS takes me 7 days; EMS before I had my wife's address in Chinese: 22 days. Also, put her phone number under the address, that way they can call for the delivery if they can't find it. This came in handy once too. Link to comment
JoeAndJing
I have lived in China for two years in severdal different cities and from my observations, DHL has the best coverage in China. Link to comment
