I did not have any papers translated and received the 'certificate of marriagablility'.

And, I received a Certificate of Marriageability without any translated documents as well. HOWEVER, in NANNING, I had to get the affidavit attached to the certificate and the divorce decree translated before they would grant the "marriage certificate".

 

What is required INSIDE China, varies with the location of the marriage.

 

If I had not found a way to pay money under the table for quick translations in Nanning, I would NOT BE MARRIED.
