BillV 8-16-2004 Posted January 15, 2006 Report Share Posted January 15, 2006 (edited) My wife arrived at POE LAX (CR-1) on December 21, 2005. She has her Social Security Card and Green Card. My question is her China Passport will expire June 2007. We plan on going to China this year and the following years, has anyone dealt with the renewal of their Chinese passport, can this be done here in the US at a Chinese Consulate? or is it required to be done in China? will being a CR-1 immigrant to the US have any effect on renewal? on her return to China is she reqired to get a visa at our consulate? currently her passport is stamped CR-1 will a new passport need to indicate she is a immigrant CR-1 since that is what the Chinese customs view at departure or can she just show her Green Card, any advice or help will be appreciated.
