I talked to Jimei

I just talked to Jimei, the widow we raised some money for a while back. Her AOS was succesful and she just received her 10 year green card. She is working two jobs and is doing much better now. She asked me to say hello to all of you and thanks again for the help.

 

For those of you who weren't here then her husband was a CFL member who read but never posted. He died unexpectedly while out of town on business . They were in the process of filing AOS when he died. He had the house mortgaged to the hilt for his business and had no life insurance when he died. He also had custody of two boys from a previous marriage that Jimei had to care for a few months until his ex-wife came to get them. All Jimei walked away with was a car, the clothes on her back and a small monthly amount from Social Security for her daughter. Thanks to her church who found her a pro bono lawyer and some help from CFL members she has managed to keep her head above water.

Thanks again guys. CFL is the greatest.
