JamesnYuHong
She has CR-1. She has a temporary I-551 stamp in her passport and is waiting on her green card to arrive in the mail. Well today she got a "Welcome Letter" in the mail from USCIS and a number with which to track her case. What's up with that? What's it for? Link to comment
LeeFisher3
Congratulations Is that the number they use to track her satisfaction with the process? Link to comment
frank1538
The "Welcome to America" letter is our government's attempt at adding a personal touch to the process. All it really means is that the physical green card is in process, but you already knew that. It won't be long now. Link to comment
cosmiclobster
I'm guessing that their intentions was to have the green card and welcome letter arrive together, but they probably get mailed from different places. Your green card should arrive in a day or two. Congrats!!! B) Link to comment
