The Los Angeles service center now says they are working on cases dated from 6 months ago. Our interview was scheduled 7 months after we filed the I-485, so I guess they are somewhere in the ballpark (even though the backlog was 3 to 4 months when we started this process!!!).

 

The official USCIS website case lookup has our case still at the point of acknowledgement of us having done the biometrics - still no mention of the scheduled interview.

 

Or in other words, the Dept of Homeland Security, which was supposed to correlate all of the security agencies under its wing is still clueless as to the status of individual cases . . . . .
