another nitpicking question for G325A

Recommended Posts

My SO's hometown(and hukou) is in a city in Guangxi, but she was studying in Beijing at university. when the G325A asks for Applicant's Residence for the last 5 years.

Question: do I put down just her legal (hukou) residence in Guangxi, or do I include the Beijing address at school?

USCIS site is not very user friendly for such questions...surprise surprise....

The USCIS wan't a chronological history of residence for the past five years for both the petitioner and the beneficiary. Use attachments if necessary, but list addresses using a...

you need to list all addresses where she has resided for longer than 6 months since her 16th birthday.........

325a is every address only the last 5 years. If she lived there a month, put it down. Use extra sheets if you can't write those really long Chinese addresses (my wifes GZ addy is like a paragraph long) in that microscopic box. Legibility is worth more than box-fitting, imho

Safer to put both addresses than to omit one. And, as mercator said, she will need police records for both places if she lived at either for 6 months or more

Yes, all addresses resided in past 5 years should be listed. However, she only need one police certificate from China to cover all. The certificate will be issued by the police station where her Hukou is. Then get this certificate notarized.

Hank, I don't believe that's true. The USCIS wants to know everywhere the person depicted in the G325a has lived for the past five years. ALL, every place, each one, the whole ball-of-wax....

The police history on the other hand deals with residence of 6 months and more...

One other place other than police history...

The DS-230 (part I) will ask for places of residency since age 16, of six months or more...

I second, third, fourth (and drink my fifith to) that sentiment. If i had not found this site I would be paying a lawyer who would probably know much less than the collective wisdom given at this site about the specific deal with K1 from GUZ, and he would be taking more time....thank you all.
