cosmiclobster
Judges are always: Your Honor Unless you are writing to a specific one in which case you specify them by name: The Honorable Beevis N Butthead Edited November 13, 2005 by cosmiclobster (see edit history) Link to comment

MPH
I wanted to use "Your Honor" at first place, but when I search from the net about appeal letter, I just found out "Dear Sir" or "Dear judge". Is "Your Honor" a formal way to write to a judge? Thanks! Link to comment
king
You might want to do it this way: Honorable XXX X. XXXX, JudgeXXXXX Court Dear Judge: Link to comment
king
Make that: Dear Judge XXXX: Link to comment
frank1538
Maybe it's none of my business, but I'm just curious as to the need for an "appeal letter". Link to comment

Knowing the reason for the letter takes precedence over to how you address the reader. I'm guessing that you will NOT be addressing a specific Judge but most likely the court. If that is the case you would address the letter completely differently. Please take a moment to fill us in with the details of your case and we will be better able to help you.... Link to comment
MPH
Yes, it is written to the court, not addressing to a specific person. Link to comment
