My Case is in GUZ now

We were told that our case was cleared and was sent to GUZ

on Feb. 5 by CA.

We went to GUZ on Feb. 10, met Mick and Owen and the girls.

The next day, Feb. 11, I went inside GUZ Consulate and asked

the staff to confirm our clearance. He said he could not determine

our clearance from the computer and from his other materials.

Today, Feb. 13, I went inside GUZ consulate again and the same person

said that our case is cleared and is received by GUZ.

We had a small scale celebration today, will have a big one when

we have visa in hand.

Bbzou and Jasmine, a big congrats to you!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D

I couldn't be happier for the two of you. Looks like your patience has finally paid off. Will Jasmine be able to accompany you back? :(

Again, congrats for both of you. We had our interview the same day as you so this shows how random this clearance process is.

First of all, congrats, Bbzou!! I would like to ask u a question. Since recently the people who posted their cases are cleared on this web ,these information seemed all got from CA. Does that mean your case might be showing still pending while the CA inform u that your clearance has been completed?? DOS computer only show the information about your clearance completed when GZ enters in the system?? CA officer knows about this clearance information earlier than GZ and DOS?? Anyone can help me to understand this status? Thank u!!

I would like to thank Mick and Owen for their efforts

and adventure in meeting Mr. Adams, the long trip,

the accident, and the scary Flu.

I tried to look up the case of Sherryagain, however,

the Consulate people won't do it, because only petitioner

could look up his own case.

To answer Mick's question, I have spent all my 2003 vacation and

another 3 weeks of unpaid leave here waiting. The gentleman

at the Consulate told me that it would take two more weeks for the

visa to be issued. I may not able to wait any longer due to work

situation. My main concern is that if I wait, what if the visa could

not be issued within two weeks? I have lost my trust to the system.

To answer StellaChaCha's question, Yes, it is possible that your case

is cleared but GUZ still has not entered it into computer, and therefore

DOS info line shows "still pending". CA knows earlier than GUZ

and DOS info line.

Sure can't blame you for losing trust in the system.

I do hope, however, that you find that she can accompany you. That would make the trip so much easier for both of you. And again, thanks for the support and company in GZ. It meant a lot to all of us. Also glad that Jasmine got to see Li in her wedding dress. The only time she saw her before was at the interview, soaking wet with one shoe on.

Keep us posted as to your travel plans. Owen sends his congrats as well. He and his better half are still here at our apartment in Shantou. They will leave tomorrow for Xiamen.

I have a question is that we still need wait for at least 3 wks after getting confirmation from CA if still show "pending" in system between DOS and GZ.

Thanks,

Chary, I think we will have to wait for 3 weeks after the

confirmation from CA, but that includes part of Chinese

new year. May be the later cases don't need to wait that long.

Yeah, that whole lunar New Year thing slowed everything down quite a bit. I hope subsequent cases move a little faster. Again, congrats Bbzou and Jasmine. Stay in touch.
