My own Wife would kick your butt if she met you!

 

We have already agreed that the second she can start to walk after having children, I will spend at least 50% of the time with them.

while i am at work my wife will take care of the kids and when i get home she will take her online classes. however we dont believe a baby sitter should raise our children and because i make more money we have decided that there is no need for her to stay home after the children start school. by the time they go to school they will she will be ready to finish her teaching degree.

Come on, most of us have had previous marriages with typical American women who have beat us down into submission. Controlling? What the hell is that? I know what being controlled is though! Fortunately, for us and Asian women, the rumor mill in China is that we are very giving and loving men. We know the real reason, but we can keep that our secret.

As the saying goes, it's hard to teach us old dogs new tricks.

It would be interesting to know if these guys waited through a year visa process to help mold their attitude. Otherwise, I am sure the stereotyping of asian woman as 'submission' is their drum beat.

 

I think the reality is they are good at allowing us to make a decision at times without need of their input. And then will gladly listen to us at times... As my SO says to me, "I listen to you."

 

One englishman I meet in china and went out with a number of times used to say, "forget the idea they are submissive..." and then he would put a thumb on top of his head and twist it back and forth.

 

And this may be nothing more than the reverse stereotype.. that asian woman are the controlling ones. But this one seems to replace desire with demand; they desire our well being, although their way of telling us we need more rest or need to eat better could come across as a demanding demeanor.

 

I think both extremes are wrong. They are no different than us... well, I think probably better off. Clearer thinkers, unpretentious, and few hangups... at least most of the ones I have known.

 

While I preach 'equal partners' all the time, it is clear that even this concept is at times "too much talk". Each couple will find their balance and may even find one leads at time and the other leads at times. It's too dynamic to define in any one way.

...as long as she learns her roll quickly, everything will be just fine. Good days she can have two slices of bread and a glass of water. If I'm in good mood I might toast the bread for her and let her go for a walk outside. I find it very attractive to have a frail wife that i can just bully around and not complain about it. That's true love isn't it?
