To get back on the Subject......Did anyone mention how important the NOA2 is, to make copies of it and not loose it?

I hope we have it ...

 

what happens if you lose it ?

 

just curious any one have that happen ?

 

and what to do if ?

You need the I-129F Approval notice, you are required to send a photo-copy of it in with the I-485 to base adjustment on the K-1 visa.

If you have lost it you will need to file an I-824 and pay a $340 FEE for a replacement.

B Based on admission as the K-1 fiancee of a U.S. citizen and subsequent marriage to that citizen.

 

Attach a copy of the fiencee petition approval notice, a copy of your marriage certificate, and your form I-94, Arrival/Departure Document.

Look Real hard, may be in your "Kitchen Sink" brought to the visa interview?

 

If not file an I-824 for a replacement, and send a copy of the I-824 NOA1 receipt letter explaining that you have ordered a replacement and can provide it if requested at a visa interview. On the letter note the EAC or WAC number that was noted on the I-129F approval notice.

 

Note: this same document will have your wife's A# noted on it too.
