passed the written last month and she's scouting out the driver training schools.

I took Amy to a big empty parking lot and let her get behind the wheel.

She's usually really smart but it took a few times of me telling her she can only use her right leg!! "CANNOT USE THIS LEG, ONLY ONE LEG!!!" (putting my hand on her left leg) It also took several times of me telling her that she must KEEP her foot on the brake when the car is stopped. "but I push brake already!"

O.K. so she's gotten the concept of keeping the car stopped.

Now, let your foot off the brake (the car starts to creep forward). She's going 5 MPH. O.K. now practice stop - both of our heads and bodies lurch forward. O.K. good, but this time press brake easy. LURCH. After about 10 tries she started to get the hang of it.

She also practiced turning but needs to work on getting the car to go straight again after turning!!!

It's a lot of fun and I can see that she's excited about the idea of driving, but I could only take about 10 minutes of her "practicing" B) B) B)

Oh Yea, here's a link (thanks to BLSqueak) where she can practice an onl-ine learners permit test in Chinese. The only problem is that it's an Australian web site!!
