  1. My wife and I will be filing the get permanent residence status for my mother in-law, my wife's mother. She is here on a B2 visa now and is getting older and will not work here, also she partially blind. I think I have all the forms for this: I-130 filled out by my wife I-485 filled in as her mother I-864 filled in by myself I-693 filled in by wife G-325A about her mother The questions that have on the forms are: The I-485 Part 2 I am applying for an adjustment to permanent resident status because: (letter H) Not sure what to put, don't want to get denied. Do we file all the documents at the same time? USCIS does not make it easy to figure out. Any help would be great. Frank & Stephanie
  2. SO recently obtained citizenship, and is now wanting her parents here. Not that they are desparate or anything, but that I as well think it to be a great idea,as they are 80+ in age and we miss them.SO has been here (and working) in the states 6+ years and she has'nt seen her parents since leaving China. We both have been too busy working to have allowable time for any kind of quality visit (in China),and you know how time flies. I guess what I'm getting at is it looks like we're faced with a "strategy" in order to do this, reminding me very well of the "stratedy" of getting my SO here (K-1=guicker here vs. marrying her there in China and waiting longer (greencard granted). In which both ways have the same result-legally living here. I know that the I-130 is the first step. But we are trying to decide whether to file them as visitors, then once here, file for permanant residence.Or file as immagrants on a family basis. My inclination is to file them as visitors, but it seems they need to provide alot of documents (house, bank, etc. statements) guaranteeing their return to support the vistor visa-in which would have to be mailed to us by them, then mailed by us along with I-130 to USCIS.But also on the other hand, filing them on family basis (immigration intended),all we have to do is show basically is that we can support them.
  3. We're applying for MIL and FIL's B2 Visa and have a concern, wondering if anyone can give us suggestions. They have recently moved to a new home, but don't have the property ownership papers yet, they don't get them until they've paid off the loans... sounds funny to me, what do you guys think? They do, however, still have ownership papers for their old home, though someone else is living there now, they agreed to let them keep the paperwork for now because they knew they would need some proof of home ownership. I'm really not sure what to do now, which address should we provide for HOME ADDRESS and for MAILING ADDRESS. What should we do?! This is stressin' us out. Also, my spouse is currently in the middle of removing conditional status of her GC. Her GC shows as expired, but when we applied for the extension, they sent us confirmation that her GC has been extended for another year while they process (still processing), but they didn't provide us w/ any new card or proof, other than the letter. Will this be a problem? Is showing the letter enough proof for validity of her GC or should we get something else? Thanks!
  4. My wife is pregnant and we are thinking to have my mother to come over temporarily to take care of her. What forms and materials do we need? My mother came here before six years ago. Thanks for your help.
