This is what my wife told me from GZ (she had submitted her Passport today and will pick up visa by tomorrow). Due to visa printing machine problem, some people were unable to receive their visa for more than two days. Obviously, US consulate GZ facility is in critical condition to handle such high volume visa processing. Considering US Consulate GZ staff are also under tremendous pressure to handle larger visa processing right now, I think we should pray for staff with more compassion, understanding and passion; pray for facilities are running smootlhy (including visa printing machine); pray for the accuracy and professional work GZ is conducting to issue all immigration visa. I hope everyone in GZ will pick up visa without any further delay and error free. my 0.02, Hong

Tom & Cristy, My wife went to GZ earlier morning around 7:30am and was turned off by the guard. She went back again around 9:00am and went to inside of GZ about 9:15am. There are about 100 people waiting in line for submitting their Passports along with EMS letters. After submitting her Passports and EMS letter, my wife was told to come back to pick up visa 2:00pm next day. She tries to convince GZ to issue visa the same day, but no luck at all. My wife also mentioned that there are few people in front of her who had interview in August 5th and August 20th. Waiting for the final moments come tomorrow afternoon. Any good news for your fiancé Cristy? Does she received the visa already? Please keep us posted. BTW, if she already got the visa, can you tell what else GZ handle over to her besides visa (I heard that will be a big envelope along with the visa)? Hong

The news from 001 really scared me. My wife has already flied to GZ and will go to Consulate for submitting her Passport tomorrow morning as indicated in EMS letter. If GZ doesn't do what they said in EMS letter, my wife will be stuck in GZ Hotel for days. I hope the news from 001 is not "correct". BTW, does anyone know who acturally got his/her visa after receving EMS letter? Hong

Will anyone travel to GZ from Shanghai area on next Monday to pick up his or her visa? My wife will leave for GZ on 12/16 from Shanghai. I am wondering if I can find someone who also travels to GZ on that day. I know that some Ladies from Shanghai area will travel together to GZ on Thursday by train. Unfortunately, as indicated from EMS letter, my wife can get her visa only From Monday through Thursday. Hong

As far as I know, it seems like my wife is the only one from Shanghai area who received EMS letter that doesn't specify any date to pick up visa (EMS says: Monday - Thursday). I am a little bit concerned whether GZ sent out correct EMS letter. Is there anyone out there from Guangzhou province area who has received similar EMS letter and already got their visa? Hong
