  1. Hi there! When I first read your post, I was really excited! Let me explain why. It seems we have a lot in common. My husband and I are also young (he will be 24 this year, I just turned 21) we also met in Japan (where were you guys? we were in Kyoto) We started dating in May 2006 and got married in January 2007. Only thing is we dont have a baby yet (which I want SOOO badly!) We both have no money, and are students, and my mom is going to be the co-sponsor. Well anyway, i'm sorry that I can't really help you much, as we are still waiting for our interview...but I sincerely wish you the best of luck! Please let me know how everything goes, as I too am worried about age being a factor, being a student, etc. I'm really glad that I found someone to relate to! PS congratulations on your pregnancy!! I can't wait to have kids too! (husband wants to wait till we get to America hehe)
  2. i agree. this is what we did. we just wrote "see attached" in the address box. I used tables and inserted them into microsoft word so that it looked pretty much like the way they had it on the form, just big enough to use size 12 font! the DHS man was pretty happy that i had done that. also, if you do attach, you should write the following information (this is the samlpe layout of what we did): G325A Attachment *** ***** (Name of person) Page 1/1 Table with address info ____________________ *** *****(name) date and we signed/dated on the line since there is a signature line on the actual G325A. it does take some time, but i think it really makes things easier for you (dont have to squish everything) and makes it easier for the person reading, which hopefully will put them in a good mood (you are at their mercy, after all...). hope this helps!! oh yeah, it took me WAY more than 15 minutes, too!! haha
  3. Thanks for the update! I think I'll have her notarize the form since its free at her credit union...cant hurt, right?!
  4. do you remember what was exactly on the form that you have to check off? after reading your comment, i decided we should have these things in hand before sending that form out, so i'd like to start collecting these forms...thanks for your help! sorry to trouble you! thanks for searching! they want you to already have your tax documents ready? ahhhh. my mom is the joint sponsor and she's so SLOWWWWW with her 2007 taxes. (i told her to get moving but she keeps on telling me just wait a few more days...) oh yeah, quick question, does the affidavit of support for a joint sponsor (my mom) have to be notarized before she sends it over? thanks again!

  6. Thanks for the responses!! I've been so stressed out over this whole issue. It's been over a year since I've started preparing all the forms, and even though I finally was able to turn in my I-130 through DCF I guess I'm still searching for the faster route. Hehe. Thanks again!
  7. Hello everyone! I am so glad I found this message board! I'm a US citizen, who met my Chinese husband while we were both studying in Japan. We got married in Japan...which has really complicated our situation! I finally was able to turn in my I-130 at the Beijing DHS office. I have a few questions for anyone who knows anything: 1. If I want to file for a K3 visa, I was told I must return to Japan...is this true? Also, does my husband also need to be in Japan? I can get into Japan on the visa-waiver program, but he will need a visa...which may be difficult... 2. I would just like to know what anyone thinks about this, is it just better to wait in China and hope that it wont take too long to get an interview in Guangzhou? 3. I am still confused about the K3 visa in general...if I were to apply for a K3 and my husband goes to America on the K3 visa, what happens to the I-130? Does he then have to file for AOS? Thank you for reading!! Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Also anyone who has experience of being married in a different country, please let me know!! Thanks!
