  1. Are you sure P & N??? The LAX map has Terminal 4 and the Bradley Terminal as separate terminals!
  2. Thanks again ndjarrett! If my wife stays in the Terminal 4/5 area for immigration processing, that would be great! I've heard lots a bad stories about the Bradley Terminal so I hope she doesn't have to go there.
  3. Thanks ndjarrett! So from what you are saying, an immigration/customs area was in Terminal 4 so going to the Bradley Terminal wasn't necessary. Correct? If this is so, I wonder if it is the same for Terminal 5.
  4. Thanks for your input Dean Hall and Stats! Keep it coming! The more info, the better!!!
  5. Oh but the countdown began when you fell in love! Congratulations! We are right there with you! Interview on June 23rd... in our Old Kentucky Home on June 27th!
  6. Does anyone know the layout of LAX as far as where the Immigration & Customs processing is done? I know that most Chinese flights arrive at Terminal 3 & 5. Where is Immigration in respects to Terminal 5? Thanks!
  7. Yes! They told her to come back the same day at 4:00 Wow! I'll have to stop bad-mouthing GZ!
  8. Congratulations NicolaNSam! One question... Did she receive her visa the same day as her interview???
  9. Save your money and go clothes shopping together!!! It will be a good experience for both of you! As far as sizes, it's anybody's guess. When I was in China, no store had my size... I have a football players build. At some tourist spots, many vendors made the point to tell me their T-shirts were in American sizes. Some were some weren't.
  10. I still can't figure out which is the communist country! In one country, the government forces people to wear seatbelts, makes smoking illegal, and buries their people with restrictions and paperwork from an huge, uncaring bureacracy. In the other country, money allows you to do anything and the bureacracy is quick and efficient. Hmmmmmmm............ Chinese people have always been capitalistic minded. The communists in charge saw what happened in the USSR and now have a policy of "leave us alone and we'll leave you alone" just so they can stay in power. I think it will take a little time for our Chinese wives to get used to America and the money thing. I try to think of it as when I was a kid in Disney World for the first time. I wanted everything and wanted to do everything. Reality kicked in (along with some stern parenting) but I was still happy even though I wasn't going to get everything I wanted. Money is a typical problem in every relationship. One can only pray that the relationship will work through it.
  11. I've ridden on 3 Chinese airlines. They are all good. Service is better than any US carrier. China Southern is the best of the bunch. I think the airline service they give is what it must have been like here in the 50's or 60's. Those times are long gone in the US!
  12. Great questions! We need info too! How long does it take to go through customs/immigration at the LA airport??? Any possible stumbling blocks to watch for? Ditto on the SS# question!
  13. Your right keelec, It's great to get good news but the system is at least partially broke. It's a blessing to be this far along but we are always at GZ mercy. I want to shake them and show them what they are doing to people but I try to paint a smile on my face and say, "Thank you sir, may I have another?" just to stay in their good graces.
  14. My wife just got her P4, on May 29. Her interview is June 23. Her P3 arrived in GZ on March 15. Good luck to all!
  15. David, 001 is like a Chinese version of Candle for Love. It's written in Mandarin or Cantonese or Kligonese or something!
