  1. Thank you. When I emailed the Consulate the other day they responded that they had computer system issues that were affecting the processing of visas. So I was just wondering if anyone else encountered a slowness because of this and whether there was any posted information about systems issues and its resolution. Maybe I didn't phrase my concern right.
  2. Hi...Is anyone aware of any extraordinary situations right now in Guangzhou that may be affecting Wait Times for K1 Visa Issuance? I know that each case is different but after my fiance was told that she was approved during her interview her visa was held up in Admin Processing for a month as shown on the CEAC site. It turned to Ready over a week ago but hasn't changed. I emailed them and was told that computer issues had slowed down the process but my fiance is acquainted with others who interviewed later than her and they have already received their visas so our concern is growing. Plus I really can't find any good information on what 'Ready' really means for those who already interviewed. Does anyone have any insight? Thank you.
  3. how do i cancel subscription?

  4. Yes, it's not the five minutes and it's not the ink, it's the zero. And I am approaching everything truthfully. Did I say something that made it look like I wanted to save time and ink? Thanks for responding but this is not the easiest thing to go through so perhaps bear that in mind if someone asks an honest question.
  5. Hi, Relating to this topic, I am completing the I-134 and my Total Income surpasses the 125% Threshold ($30,111). Since I have no savings, however, is it better that I leave the other financial spaces blank rather than writing zeros? The instructions now say answer every question so I'm confused whenever I see advice about leaving spaces blank but I don't want to invite more questions either.. Any thoughts?
  6. Thanks. I think we'll just have to go with this. Really don't know anyone who I could really ask to help sponsor her. I appreciate your time in helping me think this through. Hope to post some good news in a month...
  7. Thank you for your reply and your thoughts. Perhaps I misstated. My Gross income was actually $58,000. After business expenses my total income was $27,000. This is the amount on line 22 of form 1040. Everything I have read is that this number needs to be greates than the poverty line of $22,025. This seemed o until I began wondering about the $7000 in tax I will now owe which includes self wmployment and fed tax. I need to speK to my accountant before I send my fiance these taxes. I was just wondering whethwr the officer will only look at the Total Income on line 22 which reflects everything I have read up to now, or if they will also bear in mind the tax I owe. It sounds like they may take the tax into consideration from what I gather from your note. Thank you. If you have other feedback I'd appreciate it although this may really be a more involved, sit down accountant conversation. Thanks!
  8. My fiancee, who is in China, and I are almost at the interview stage. I am self employed completing my 2016 Tax Return. I understand that the financial number the Consulate Officer will look at is Line Number 22 on the 1040, Total Income. I show $27,000 which is sufficient above the poverty guideline. However, the tax I owe is $7,000 which shows on the next page. Will the Officer only consider Line 22 or will he/she subtract the $7,000 tax in their head? I have never seen a post about this but we wouldn't be living on the $27,000 but on the amount left over after taxes are paid. It is very confusing when self employed. Thank you!
  9. Thank you very much, that's helpful to know. There's one more dangling question my fiance and I are discussing, The last time she did a DS160 for a tourist Visa her daughter, who was studying in the US, was home in China for the Summer. She put her daughter's US address down as the US contact but said No to the question of having a relative in the US since her daughter was in China at the time. Now her daughter is in the US as a student and I said she should put Yes, that she has a relative in the US but she is worried now that it may look inconsistent in relation to her previous DS160 a year and a half ago. She felt, I believe mistakenly, that the question was meant as citizens who are relatives although the 160 lists a variety of status levels. I believe she should say Yes to having a relative in the US for a child who is here studying, would you agree? Thank you, I appreciate your thoughts and time.
  10. Hi, I'm fairly new here and appreciate all the information and feedback. I have a similar question about the G325. Our I-129F Petition for our K1 was approved and my fiance, who is in China, and I are finishing the DS-160. However, I just noticed a couple of errors on her G325: a) The end date on one of her employment jobs says 2015 but it was actually 2013 b) She had a part time job between 2013 and 2015 but she forgot to enter it We now need to put the corrected work history in the appropriate section in the DS-160. What do we do now about the G325a? I have read so many conflicting suggestions on other sites. Shall we call the Visa Center in the States to try to submit an amended 325a? Or bring a new 325a to her interview in China and explain the error to the interviewer? Also, I see a full Resume is requested. Am I reading that right? Thank you!
  11. On the visa website fo the State Dept and USCIS I keep seeing a tax return requirement for self employeed petitioners only for the most recent tax year. And yet on this site I keep seeing three years. Why the discrepancy? My recent return will have over the 125% level for the I-134 but the previous two returns were zero because of all the deductions I took and would rather not send them. Any suggestions or clarification? Plus I really don't know of anyone who would be willing to be a joint sponsor but not sure why I would need them if my level is right and I will have the recent return that is being asked for. This discrepancy has me so confused. Thank you!
