  1. Just wanted to let everyone know that my wife was issued the CR1 this May, and was issued a IR1 when she arrived at the airport this July. Thanks for everyone's support. She'll be receiving her green card in the mail.
  2. Alright, this (visa) saga is getting a bit too long for wife and I. It's really starting to wear on her - and my relatives are really wondering where she is (which I guess is a good thing?). Will be finished with my grad program pretty soon, thought she would be here by now .... Anyway, really appreciate the feedback. I just received an email from NVC stating that the marriage certificate I submitted was not acceptable. I was wondering if anyone might know of a resource that describes the details of the most acceptable marriage certificate? Thanks!
  3. Thanks, I have a GZO number, scanned and sent documents.
  4. Hi, I'm in eProcessing and submitted the DS-260 recently. I recently emailed the supporting documentation/civil documents for the DS-260 to the NVC. I was a bit confused though, since I initially submitted all of the required documents to USCIS. I suppose I have to submit them again to the NVC? Thanks..!
  5. I paid it to NVC, and through USCIS in the US... thanks
  6. Thanks everyone again. Last week I submitted my $220 payment, I believe the final thing requested from the NVC, and am now just waiting for the interview at the consulate in China (for my wife). I was wondering if anyone might know how long it usually takes from this point (everything submitted) until the interview? Thanks a lot...
  7. Thanks again. For the 2012 tax returns, I did not file since I was out of the country half of the year and made below $5,000. The second part of the year, I received my assistantship. So, I'm getting in touch with an accountant who will hopefully help...
  8. Hello, so I've filed the I-864 with my father as joint sponsor, and recently received an email from NVC stating that they need a I-864 from myself. I did not realize that I needed to file one since my father is the main sponsor? Since I was living outside the US before grad school, and have been in grad school for the past year and a half, should I submit information with proof of my grad school assistantship? This seems to be the trickiest part of the app process ... Thanks a lot again.
  9. FYI, the interview went great! THe officer was very friendly throughout and said we were just "chosen for random check/interview" or something along those lines. Our application was forwarded to NCS. Also, nothing in my background that's questionsable (or feel is questionable). Thanks again.
  10. Thanks! Also, my interview is scheduled very soon with USCIS (here in the US), and my parents and I will be attending. Just wondering if there's anything I should be sure to discuss/any questions to be particularly aware of?
  11. Thanks again, appreciate it. Just wondering, if the NVC Online program (http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/nvc_pilot_program_of_electronically_processing_visa_petitions.html) is available only to persons who file in GZ? Also, is there some type of Paypal page/account to make a donation to CFL?
  12. Okay, thanks. Since I'm in the US, is it possible to file the petition/send it to Guangzhou? Or, must I do it in the US/send it to the US lockbox?
  13. Thanks again. Just wanted to clarify: my wife and I married in China, and I'm filing for CR1 in the STates. Does it usually take 4 or 9-12 months? Thanks
  14. Thanks again. I'm about to file the I-130 here in the US. I was wondering, if possible to file online, how exactly the electronic signature is done/made? Definitely owe yall ...!
