I suspect folks wiser than I are correct in stating that the certificate is not needed with submission. Yet I recall vividly our AOS interview, which was back in December, 2004. We had our daughter Salina with us (she was about eight months old at the time). The interviewer asked point blank to see her birth certificate, not to verify that she was a citizen, but to verify that we were the parents. Fortunately, we had a copy with us and there was no problem. This may not be a concern now as I understand that interviews are not always a part of AOS now. Back then interviews were more common.
Yes, you are right with interview. All related documents should be brought to interview since you never know what officers want for sure.
At my interview at Guangzhou, I was surprised by the VO wanted to see the original marriage certificate, which we submitted in I-130 petition. Luckily I have another original with me.

If the document she left at hotel is the only reason resulting blue slip, I think it will be fairly quick. But I do not how long it will be exactly. Should be less than a month like two weeks? Hope other people can help on this.
Yes, Mr Yang jiahua (cellphone: 13724842886、13725270589) is a trustfully person. After your wife gets call-in-letter, she can contact Mr Yang, and mail him their (your wife and her daughter) passports, call-in-letter, and a letter of power of attorney for Mr. Yang. Mr. Yang will mail passports with visa and visa packages back to your wife. You and your wife can contact Mr. Yang for details.
I was thinking of this way as well when I received call-in-letter. But I figure out that flights are not much expensive than the payment to Mr. Yang and the cost for a offical letter of power of attorney. So I just went back Guangzhou again, plus I would like to take care of my stuff by my own.

As dnoblett's comments, your employment/finacial history has no effect on your visa, but your fianc¨¦e¡¯s does. So do not worry about it.
His prior K1 will be checked. Make sure you know all necessary information about his ex-marriage. You may be asked about it at your interview. If though, I still do not think you need to hire a lawyer. Many people with similar situation did by their own and got visa successfully based on their bona relationship. If you want to hire a lawyer, just make sure the lawyer is well qualified rather than just for your money.

Today, the 24th, NVC sent me the e-mail stating they have everything needed for processing the case and next step is the interview from GUZ. Just like my son's case, my wife's case was 10 working days from my submittal of everything to their e-mail saying they were done.
I quickly sent GUZ an e-mail asking for the IR-1 and IR-2 cases to be put back together now and for an interview date in early July, so the son can finish his exams for high school.

Heard that NVC schedules the interview for GZO files not Guang zhou ???
Yes, you will get an oppointment letter from NVC for GZO cases. But you have to reschedule an interview with Guangzhou if you can not make the set-up interview by NVC.

No need to hire a lawyer. There are too many immigration agencies on the first, second and third floors where the consulate is. They advertise their services to all people attending. exiting, and staying around the building.
She needs to get a statement from her ex-husband to allow the kid go with her to US. Then bring the letter to a notary office and get a white book. It only costs about $40.
After she submits the required document (the white book), she will be waiting for a call-in letter. With call-in letter, she can go to Guangzhou by herself with her and her daugther's passports , or let other people do it for her. Usually people trust Mr. Yang. He charges RMB1000 for doing that.
Now get the statement from her ex-husband first.

Technically, children¡¯s birth certificate is not required to be included in I-130 petition. But it is a good proof of your tie to the petitioner.
But in I-130 form, question 17 in section C asks ¡°List husband/wife and all children of your relative¡±, Where you must disclose your baby¡¯s information, name, birth date, birth place. I hope the baby is listed there. Otherwise, NOT GOOD.

Other medical centers such as Beijing United Family Health & Wellness Center. They only do check-up not vaccination. It means you need to go to Beijing International Travel Healthcare Center to get vaccines.
The documents you need to bring for medical check-up is four 2cun (寸）photographs, passport and appointment ltter. Just walk-in.
Have you contacted Guangzhou United Family Clinic? As I know Beijing United Family Clinic is open all days including holidays, weekends.
Make sure: Get medical report before her hand-in, it would be too risky to me if you want to get it done in the morning and hand-in in the afternoon. If there is no other choice, she does not have to show-up at 12:30pm, but try to get to the consulate before 2pm or 3pm. At my interview, I saw some people got into the waiting room late.

We are filing a K-1 petition. GUZ sent us our P3 on May 10 and we used the shortcut, mailed back our completed papers on May 12. The EMS tracking shows that GUZ received the completed packet on May 14, however as of today (May 24), they have still not registered receipt of our P3 packet with the DOS. Should we be worried? Should we mail the completed P3 papers again?

my wife said many University students join CCP and it 's voluntary ,ie. it's not required in order to enroll .
It is true to some students, but not for others. Probably only the students in the system know how the system works. It is called in-system and out-system.

I got three shots:

•Td
•Variccella (AKA Chicken Pox)
Which is required by age. It does not matter if you had them before or not. The medical center did not want to look at my vaccination history. They just simply gave it to match the requirement. The good thing is the shots only bring a little sore on my arm for a few days.
You will find out everything when you walk in the medical center which you chooose to do medical check.

We are thinking of going back to the US in the middle of October. Anyone know how long it usually takes to get a passport processed and mailed from the embassy?

Thanks, Beachy. That is what I think. I have his vaccination record in China and already translate it into English. My husband has given it to my son's pediatrician and set up an appointment. Definitely I would not let my son get duplicate vaccines. Too many vaccines before 2-year old.

Just got our interview date for June 1st. GUZ is cutting it close, we only got one week to prepare. I don't even have my Chinese visa. And my wife don't have her Chinese passport only her Hong Kong passport. Now we may have to postpone to July interview. We are rushing to get everything done and hope we don't have to reschedule.
Sorry to know you have to reschedule interview. But it could be prevented if... Do not mind my frankness. You and your wife should get Chinese visa and passport done ahead. A Chinese visa is valid for two years and passport for 10 years. However, only a week (even two days with express services) is needed to get these done. Hope rest of your journey goes well.
Make sure: If you can not make June interview, definitely send an email to Guangzhou about rescheduling before June 1. Otherwise, not-showing-up will be considered as a denial.

Hi Guys,
I am wondering what documents for my son will be checked at Chinese and American Custom. He was born in US and has US passport. When we returned to China, I have a two-year Travel Document (ÂÃÐÐÖ¤£©issued by Chinese Consulate in US for him. The Travel Document is valid till the end of this year. We are planning to move back to US this July.
Based on my knowledge, what he needs is what I have now: Travel Document and US passport for Chinese Custom, and US passport for American Custom. Am I right?
Do I need to get international Vaccination Certificate for him? I have one for myself which was never checked at both Chinese and American Custom.

You do not need to print out all chats, emails etc. It is too much work, and not necessary. At interview, I saw only a few cases have piles of documents in front of VO (I was wondering what it was). Just print out some samples across your relationship.

Just to add this note to the sticky thread for others.
In our case, CCP was brought up again at the AOS interview in the U.S., so be sure to bring a copy of the CCP statement and be prepared to answer any questions they may have. Have a little speech prepared about why/when you joined and how you weren't really involved in any way. That was what they expected to hear, that's what we told them (the truth), and they were happy with that.

3. Your wife has to go to the police station where here Hukou is, then get it translated.
For police certificate, get proof evidences at police station where her hukou is. Then bring it to a notary office to get certificate.
Always inquire a notary office first before you go to police office to make sure what the notary office needs.

On the 2nd & 3rd visa applications, did she check off that she 's married to a US citizen ??? if I remember that question is on the application.
I'm always under the impression once you 've married a US citizen you have NO chance of getting a B2 visa because it 'll be impossible to prove the NON immigrant intent , which is the prerequisite of getting a non immigrant visa.
For B2, the appplication form ask whether the applicant has relatives in US. Also the applicant needs an invitation letter from US which will address the relationship between the applicant and inviter. So in her case, she needs to disclose her marriage to USC. It will be the difficult part to handle.

I just do not want to see our ladies hold back because of these, and always ask husband do what we can do by ourselves. Also an impression to me by those posts is that their relationship was implicitly questioned simply because a wife asks questions here.
I was lucky that I was not questioned when I post my first question. In our case, I take charge of our immigration stuff. I find this website through visa journey. After a while I find most members here are men and you guys' deep care about how to bring your wife/fiancée home. Then I asked my husband visit the website and blamed him less care than you guys. His response is, you are knowledgeable about visa stuff more than me since you have traveled between US and China for years, and then just tell me what I need to do. Yes, it is true, and it proves we did well.
We are here for help and to help. Both men and women can make the mission good!

Congrats to you 3! 57 days is very fast, I hope ours can also go this fast! My wife is working on her statement as we speak, guess she should make sure to be clear about her views of CCP and her lack of any type of involvement.
Hope your case goes faster than us. Yes, make the statement clear. No any involvement/position except paying dues and for work purpose. Also keep it short and concise. If you can add a statement, I think it will be helpful. My husband did, which is also short.

Correct my mis-information given before. Read page 3 of the document dnoblett attached. With I-130 petition,
(1) A copy of marriage certificate (we submitted our original, we could save $20 on this).
(2) Birth certificate(s) of child(ren) born to you, the petitionor, and your spouse together. (We did that).
