  1. My wife and I would like to thank everyone who helped us along the way. We are happy to report that the interview went well (1-2 minutes), we received a pink slip and picked up our visa at the post office two days later. We are now making a happy home together stateside. I am just wondering about experiences obtaining a Social Security card. When we filled out our forms we chose to have one automatically given to us. Has anyone had any experience with this option? How long should I wait to receive a S.S. card? Thanks again everyone. This site is a godsend. Sincerely, Sam
  2. Everybody has been so helpful to us and we really appreciate it. We just have a few more questions to clear up before we head to Guangzhou. If anyone could help us out we would be very grateful. My wife has most of the documents we need except the affidavit of support, so I have the affidavit of support info along with a letter of employment and tax returns and w-2 forms. I am also preparing our evidence of relationship. I already have photos gathered. Question #1. We use the telephone, QQ chat with webcam, and e-mails to communicate. There is a lot of stuff. How much of this do I have to print out , and how much can I get away with putting it on a CD? I really don't feel like printing all of this stuff out. Question #2 On our appointment letter , under the fees section it says that our fees have already been paid. Besides paying our medical exam, are there any other fees that we may have to pay before getting our visa? I am worried about having enough money on hand for this. Well, that's all I can think of right now. Getting excited and nervous all at the same time. I also have a dreadful feeling that I am going to forget something. Thanks everyone, Sam
  3. I thought that I saw a sample letter of employment but now, try as I might , I just can't find it. Would someone be willing to help me?
  4. I guess I kind of did write one of these but I included it on my cover letter with the original filing. It just stated how we met, when we decided to marry, and that my parents returned to China with me to attend our wedding and meet everyone. It was pretty short and to the point. I think perhaps I will write a more detailed letter and have it ready in case needed. Thanks for all of the advice everyone! Sincerely, Sam
  5. Hi. I'm sorry if this is a repost of a previously asked question, it's just that I know interview time is nearing and I'm starting to get a bit nervous. About a week ago I received an e-mail that said all of our paperwork had been received and was in order and they would be contacting us with an interview appointment. My question is , How long should I have to wait to receive the interview appointment , and what should I expect to receive? Will it be another e-mail or should it be a snail mail? Thanks, everyone for being so supportive. Sincerely, Sam
  6. Hi. I am preparing for the interview in Guangzhou which I hope will be soon and have encountered references to Evolution of Relationship letters. Is this something that I should prepare to go along with the rest of my evidence for our relationship? If so, then how would I go about writing one of these? Does anyone have examples? Does it need to be notarized. Thanks again for all of your help. Sincerely, Sam
  7. Hi everyone... Please help me... I am confused how I should have my wife sign our documents. Before I sent one copy signed ë´ººì and another copy signed Mao Chun Hong. Now I am wondering if I should have her sign them Chun Hong Mao since Mao is her surname. Thanks a lot everyone. I am sure I will have plenty more questions. Sam
