1. Ok what is so special about a "Dublin" Dr Pepper there is a car wash here in Southlake,Tx that advertises on a sign board about having it in stock.

A couple weeks ago I went to IHOP for a quick breakfast. after poor service I sent emails.

comments = My wife and I stopped by this location for a quick breakfast, we were promptly seated at a table that already had a coffee decanter there from previous customers. Then we were ignored, but we waited until 2 other customers that came in after us were taken care of at this point we left and went to Denny's. This location will never see a red cent of my money ever again, I would rather go to Mc Donalds then settle for bad service.

    Response

    Dear Darrell,

Please allow me to sincerely apologize for the service you encountered in my restaurant this past Sunday. I must say that I am embarrassed and disturbed that you experienced these issues. This is far below my expectations of how our guests shall be treated and again, I do apologize.

I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you either in person or on the telephone, which ever one is most convenient for you. I would like to invite you back to my restaurant as my guests so that I may show you a very rewarding dining experience. Please feel free to contact me either at the restaurant, (817) 424-xxxx, or you may call my cell phone at (817) 225-xxxx.

Again, please accept my sincerest apologies and I look forward to the opportunity to discuss this with you further.

Sorry but what part of This location will never see a red cent of my money ever again, didn't she understand.

ya they caught me on a bad day, but there are to many IHOPS here to waste time at that one.

  2. I work at a Fortune 500 company. Every day company e-mail has at least a few announcements about the Asian Club, the Hispanic Club, the Women's Whatever, the One-Armed Ukrainian Refugee's Club, and now even the Gay Lesbian Bi Transgendered Club!

How I long to form the ... Old Rich Overweight White Guys Club ... but that would be deemd inappropriate.

    Sigh ....

Oh that is the CBC(Crackers business council) :whistling:

  3. What you get when you marry a U.S. citizen is essentially an instantaneous green card, and with that green card you enjoy virtually all the rights and privileges of a U.S. citizen," said James Spero, chief of the identity and benefits fraud unit at Immigration and Customs Enforcement. "You can come and go as you please without any worry or regard to law enforcement coming to arrest you."

What is he smoking crack "instantaneous green card" MY ASS

  4. That's crazy. My wife and I also went through DORA and we were never asked about the actual I-693 (which of course, we also didn't have).

Please keep us posted on how your DORA case progresses. My wife and I have been waiting for 5 months so far - still no GC. After about 70 days after the interview, we got one of those letters in the mail saying that they probably wouldn't be able to complete our case within 90 days but that we were welcome to come to their office at a scheduled date/time to apply for a work permit and/or advance parole. So we did. Oh and the reason why our case is held up? FBI background check. I guess only around 60% of DORA cases are actually completed within 90 days, and about 90% of the ones that don't complete within 90 days are all held up due to FBI delays.

BTW, I hope your case will complete fast, but if you do get that letter after about 70 days, then I would go to the appointment as they will give you at least the work permit on the same day (not sure about AP because we didn't apply for it). You just need to fill out the forms ahead of time and bring them to the appt.

    Good luck.

yep D.O.R.A is a J.O.K.E my wife waited 16-18 months for her GC, had to pay for EAD 2 times and AP once. Gotta love our "Expedited processing" :ok: :bangin: :Dah: :headbang:

And what is OCA and what if your not a member?

  6. If he really has a wife then the USCIS and the district attorney should get involved.

She should be able to find a temporary shelter to stay in the USA while she pursues squeezing the nuts off this idiot!

The 134 promises support for a number of years and she deserves to get it!

He really has a wife, married in 1995 in Las Vegas according to Clark County Marriage Records. His fiancee spoke with a woman at his LA home who said she was his wife. The fiancee had her brother go through her papers today (in Shenzhen) and he found her copy of the I-129F, it only listed one wife, he inadvertently  forgot to list the current wife.

A bit of advice to any newbies contemplating having two wifes, don't neglect to include any current wife on the I-129F or you could get an RFE and suffer a delay in the processing for failure to dot the i's and cross the t's.

She spent considerable time calling the 1-800-no help numbers today. I called ICE in Detroit and left messages on two agents phones with no return calls. I contacted ICE in Dallas today and spoke with a secretary who had never heard of a K-1 visa and transferred my call to the Duty Officer, which ended up as leaving another message that wasn't returned.

I left a message on the SOB's cell phone to make arrangements for an air ticket to be ready for her and to email her and let her know the airline and time. I reminded him that he had obligations for having signed the I-134.

I tried calling his apartment number in Dallas, no answer. Called his and his wife's home in LA and no answer. Got some Wedding Dinner photos (wedding never happened) and other dinner events on 5 or 6 occassions to mail to his wifes attention   :P .

This is extremely frustrating, trying to contact the government. You can read webpages and leave voice mails and listen to recordings until you're blue in the face. When you finally talk to a person they don't know anything about anything. I left a post to GUZ in GUZ speaks to see if they have any advice should this scenario occur.

One attorney that was contacted wanted $2,000 up front. The woman doesn't even have an airline ticket to her name.

District Attorney is maybe a good idea. Bad part is she went to visit a friend in Timbuctoo (sp) Michigan. Her fiance was supposed to be running an errand to get her laptop out of the shop and get her some cash for an airline ticket to China, prior to taking her to the airport. He was not able to get home in time to take his departing fiancee to the airport so she called a taxi and left to catch her flight. Just another one of her many, many, many mistakes, fubars and snafus.

Try a news channel to see if you can get some action.

As a side note maybe CFL can reach deep into thier pockets again to help this lady get a ticket home.

  7. Anybody know what CWOP means?

    New term for me.

WOP is With Out Papers. That is how Italian immigrants got tagged with being WOPs. Not sure what the C stands for, though. Cleared With Out Papers? I'd wager that if you needed to travel before the card comes in you can go to the local immigration office and get an I-551 stamp. First time I've seen that notation, though.

Come on Don CWOP= Chinese With Out Papers. gesh

  8. No matter what the word, it does not matter between my wife and I, it is all in how we say it as long as it is said in kind joking no problem said in anger or bad mood then there is problem.

As a side note after I met my wife we was chatting on line and she was afraid to do something I called her a chicken :mobrun: she explained what a chicken was in Chinese, so I called her a coward.

  9. i dont see why they dont...

i bet half the cubans in miami dont speak english and they are on the streets everyday...

    not to mention the haitians.

    238156

I was just going to suggest to learn Spanish. I wrote to the Texas DPS and asked if the provided manuals in Chinese they said no only English,BULLSH!T brought in wife to take her written test in English and the guy behind the counter gave a person a Spanish manual.

  10. We Chinese women can be frugal if we need to, but we also know how to spend money.

You may ask your Chinese SOs whether they have routinely visited beauty salon to have facial done while in China and have completely given up this habit after moving to US.

    236560

Yep, and she used to buy expensive purses also.

  11. Your all going to love this one.  All my life I dreaded getting married to someone that is going to spend all my money while i'm working my butt off.  I'm your everyday proud cheapie.  Well I get married to Nicola and she works her butt off with me and tells me I spend too much money!  I'm the first to tell you our 10 year old 180,000 mile 4-runner can go another 4 years and another 120,000 miles.  But God!  Can't we get seperate Cokes at a fast food resturant!  Beware what you wish for.

    236515

Ya my LP wanted new house, nice car but god forbid when I spend $3 on a laser pointer for the dog to chase around, she says I waste money while she sits on couch using laser pointer to play with dog  go figure.

  12. This is why the kitchen sink approach is recommended. Keep every piece of paper regardless of how insignificant you think it is. After the visa is in hand you can toss a bunch of the junk.

    236192

I saved everything from every trip even bus/subway/train tickets for around the areas we went to visit and yes they all went into a scarp/proof book which she took to the interview and I still have sitting on my book shelf.

  13. I would strongly suggest Dish Network with the Great wall package this way she will have 17 channels of chinese comfort in her new life also on one of those channels they sell those big sucking vent hoods, My wifes biggest adjustment I think was the lack of hords of people, There will be moments of difficult adjustment maybe even days or weeks but stick with it and it should level out.

  14. you get her here on a normal visa and hope you can extend it, The Govt likes people to say the most part of a year(181 days) in their home country, My wife family member came here and extended up to a year however when she tried to come back they hassled her about staying so long and was not going to give her a visa, well she complained and said the Govt allowed here to stay it was not her fault, she got another visa. This is just one happy ending there are many in the other direction. good luck.

  15. I know the feeling. Jen often doesn't want to do things saying it's too expensive. Even after having her trip booked she keeps wanting to change it thinking there has to be a way to get it a little less expensive. Even movies have been deemed too expensive but when I told her I went with a coworker to see "Superman Returns" when I was out of town on business, I was in trouble because I didn't take her. :o

My wife made plans with me 2 times to see a movie and changed her mind both times I just told her fine I will go alone, she went.

  16. Now knowing Japans warring past how many here support Japan doing a preemptive strike on N Korea, I am sure you read the news about this. I can't see any Asian nation standing by the sidelines if they did. I do believe Japan stands alone in Asia, Because of their past actions they don't have the best relationships with their neighbors.
