  1. Ok I was not sure where to post this since this is first steps it is as good a place as any.

After seeing how cute my son is. My wife's cousin is looking for an American man She is a tiny woman born in 74. I figure she would find a guy from here safer then someone on the dating sites. Here are a couple of her pics. Sorry for the sizes. She is divorced, no kids but wants them. PM me if you have a potential contact. She is looking for a guy close to her age a little younger or older is ok. she is tiny like 4'10"at best, so closer to her size is better but not required.

  2. If you break down the causes of firearm deaths in America there is little evidence that a gun in your home will protect you. The vast majority of gun deaths are suicide followed by homicide. I would imagine that a large percentage of homicides were committed by family members in the home. Crime prevention is less than 2 %.

  3. I shudder to think another gun rights topic is on its way. Difficult subject. It's true from what I have read that a gun in the home is the one used to shoot a family member. I've also read that in areas where guns are common, crime rates are down. Sometimes I wonder if everyone packed a gun whether people would be more civil to each other?

In this case, I think it's sad one of the cops didn't go Chinese and make sure there would be no trial.

I belong to another forum that is about concealed carry, I enjoy the debate here, you have different view points over there they all agree.

  4. When I was in the Army I lived in the barracks most of the time until I got married and ALL weapons private and issued had to be kept in the armory, Now the guys that lived off post were free to keep their weapons at home, when it came to housing I don't know 100% I know some guys that kept there private weapons at home. As for what happened at Ft Hood I can't see social isolation being the cause, more like hopelessness or cowardliness he tried to get out of the Army but was not allowed. So either he was afraid to go or had moral objections about going. He had other options and as a shrink I think he knew them. At a bare minimum he could have gone AWOL.

As for social isolation, it is what people want, if it wasn't they would not do it.

  5. When my wife lived in ChongQing she lived with her parents so did not have need for rent. I offered her money several times to buy stuff even sent her a bank card if she needed some money, even when she was in need she would not take money from me. So I would ask how your woman manged before you came along. She needs to understand your on a fixed income so to say and can not be paying for her to keep up with the jones. If she can not handle that then find a woman that can. I know it sounds a little cold but it won't get better when she gets to the US and realizes the streets are not paved with gold and life here is not all shopping and parties. Love may be blind but trust is earned.

  6. Wow! You guys had to wait a long time for the oath letter. We are in the DFW service area too. The officer told my husband to expect a letter within four weeks. We have to move in a month or two. I hope it gets here before then.

Congratulations, though! We are very happy for you both!

Ya after being maried for almost 5 years and having a child together own a house together they still asked for more proof we were a "real" married couple, So I am sure that delayed things a bit, if you look at our timeline we seemed to wait for eveything for a long time.

  7. I read a post on here somewhere. The person wanted to quit the CCP and used the excuse of not affording it, well the employer( I think a university) said they would help him out and pay it for him. So be prepared for generosity from them also. Not sure of the ramifications but can't she just go there and withdraw from the CCP?

  8. :alldone:

There is not a single smiley face to show how mad I am at the phucking interview officer she wanted proof of our ongoing marriage WTF she does not need to be married to me to become a citizen. I guess the 5 yrs of tax returns with both our names and same address was not good enough or the freaking marriage license, or the property tax increase notice everything which has both our names and a single address for the last 4.5 freaking years OH phuck no they want more. Dumb ass interviewer!

Well she passed but we have to provide the additional freaking documents.

Does is show I am freaking pissed off.

Sorry to hear of the snag Darren. She does need to prove she is still married to you to become a US citizen unless she has been a legal permanent resident for 5 years. The 3 year exception is based on still being married to the same US citizen. Of course one would assume that your tax transcripts would have made that clear.

I just consider it unnecessary harassment and delays. We got what I hope will be enough documents in the mail yesterday within a few hours of returning home the interviewer should have them in hand today, we are hoping this is the end of dealing with the useless immigration system.

  9.  :redmad:

  10. yes ,went to stock up on ammo the other week, they would only sell me 500 12g a 100 9mm and a pathetic 200 for the more exotic weapon.

How can I stop the masses of zobies and Feds with that :D

    good thing for the claymores

I can't find any 380 ammo. All the gun shops are sold out.

I went out to shoot my .45 at some weeds in the country and all I could find was a $50 box of hollow points 50 ea and the limit was 3 boxes if you could find that many. But hey those weed will never walk again.
