  1. Yanhua, By all means....please enjoy your time in my city. Our rule? The more money you play with, the more you can win! We are very happy to see so many people leave here with more money than they came with. And, to think you can go home a winner AND all of our state taxes are paid too. It's just amazing. Okay...if you can't tell, I'm having a little fun with you. Be careful in LV. Our games are addicting like Mah Jong....but they take your money so much faster. Stay away from slot machines and video poker. They beat you every time. Roulette is the easiest game but has the worst odds of winning. Many people say your best luck is in Craps....I still for the life of me can't figure it out. My game is Blackjack. A very simple game but there is much to the strategy. Maybe you can find a casino where they can teach you some games before you play. Food here in town? Most of it is great. If you like hamburgers, go to Fat Burger on on the Strip (north of the MGM). Just nummy! Best buffet in town is at the Rio (locals' favorite). Shopping? Oh my! Go to Caesar's Forum Shop at Caesar's Palace. When you run out of money shopping, you can always go back to the casino and get more. AND, if you are interested, I can get you very very good, cheap seats to Siegfried and Roy. Cheers! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/_950/drunkard.gif Dave Dave I may take you up on that when my lady gets here we plan to marry in LV..When I told her that,, she thought I ment LV in China did not know they have one there too!
  2. In all the years I have been traveling to China I have tried everything from ancient daoist liquor to cow stomach. I have not had the oppurtunity to drink the the snake wine but did eat snake one time in Nanjing ... Yes, it tasted like chicken ! Ah yes the snake,, don't know what was in the bottle but have eaten snake in Zhuchange and Dog and Piegon and Chicken feet in Ningbo. The snake was boney.. Had that 139 proof white wine too from up north not even the Chinese guys Com Bie with that stuff
  3. This part I do know.. It means verbal threat to harm, or to make physical motions to harm and of course the obvious to strike etc...everyone raises there voice once in a while,,, that does not mean harm is intended.. Ok I agree with you I think there is some time frame involved before this could happen otherwise everyone would come here to marry and then divorce and go their way as a U.S. citizen.. By the way this is just a knowlege talk,, no harm to know and understand..
  4. Well, like I said before, I don't know much about immigration law but I think your information is wrong. Any one can get a divorce. Some states are no fault and in some states you need to prove grounds (abuse, adultery, refuse to have sex, abandonment, etc). What you are referring to actually is the self-petitioning process. If there is abuse by the American spouse, the foreign spouse can file the petition to remove the condition on the green card on her (or his) own with divorce due to abuse not a bar to getting the permanent green card. I only handled a few domestic violence cases which I suspect was immigration motivated ( with real bruises and bloody lips, etc, one with nasty hospital records, motivated in the sense that these women probably would never otherwise bring such thing to court due to cultural reasons). I don't know before grant of the initial conditional green card whether a foreign spouse can file on his or her own under that provision. Joe, do you know? Apart from immigration concerns any one can file for a divorce. Put it in simple words, I would get a pre-nup just in case. I would not completely trust everything to love even if she is from Flushing Queens ( the Nanny) given that age difference. If I get a 17 year old girl friend, I would worry that she would spend all money on music CDs that I don't even like. Got it. We have had an almost a 2 year relationship going and she has been divorced once also,, from a Tiwanese guy no children involved. I met her through business contacts while on a trip to China. I have had those contacts who speak english and mandarin who know her well speak to her throughly about the age diference and about the comitment.. she is by the way over 30 and likes the same kinda music I do also a country girl... My contacts who spoke to her tell me I am a lucky guy and the envy me,, this coming from Chinese guys..However it was the letters she sent me in Mandarin that I had to have translated by co-workers. I have never had anyone write or speak to me the way she does. Things like "I know there is a difference in our age language and we are so far apart...but love knows no distance". I have met most of the dads side of the family at banquets I have put on and all seems ligit. If divorce is posssible for the alien fiance' I would think people would pay to marry and then get a divorce to become a citizen,,, I think the US Gov figured that out and has put some type of rule in place..so that immigrant marriages don't become a business.. If I can find the sight where I found this info I will post. Maybe you good folks can find the answer. Oh by the way from my dealings with Chinese business and even my fiance' the Chinese do not do anything without a contract(I think they invented them)
  5. I brought back some Black Tea in July and no one said boo!!And some green tea oh Cha sorry too!! couple of pounds ea.
  6. I have to pipe in being divorced too 1 time. I thought the law was quite specific on divorce for an immigrant marriage. I believe it said no divorce allowed except for abuse..or am I wrong?...But I guess if it is intolerable situation you do what you need to do.. maybe it only covers the first 3 years of the marriage.. And if this is so it seems the American citizen/benifactor would have to initiate the action?? Clear me up on this I am toying with the PreNup thing the lady I am marrying is 23 years younger then me :-)..and from China
  7. I sent my MM a whole bunch of that waterless hand cleaner(Purell) for her an her family. I was there in March this year went through Beijing on to Chongqing with out a second look, in Aug I went back to Beijing to visit this time I got my temp scanned and had to fill out question sheet. yeah roger that, through Shanghai scanned coming in and going out and had to have a health cert. signed off before getting my ticket to leave. But went very smooth..
  8. An other fellow who's fiance' was going for interview at that time.. went for the interview she was from Nanning and was told she had to stay in her home for 20 days after her visit to GZ.. I guess thats the incubation period?? I was in China (my thrid time there in about 20 months) last June and July I entered through Shanghai funny I do not recall any issues with SAR's in Shanghai anyway for what it's worth..
  9. OK everyone back to the original question.. Is another name check done again at GZ or with the new/spring process "improvement" are all checks done here in U.S. and they are just processing the P3 and P4 in GZ.. Are name checks still done in China between P3 and P4
  10. I don't know for sure either on the re-doing of the name check at GZ. But I do know they do another name check between P3 and P4 where that is done and by who I am not sure.
  11. Except for ARNOLD they are tring to change the President issue as we speak..
  12. Any problem with AL customs ever ? No problem at all Eric. If you wear a ball cap or have a "Roll Tide" sticker on your car, they just wave you right on through. I fly out of Birmingham quite offten(I travel quite often in my business) and have never seen any customs at Birmingham so no news is good news. But have been through Atlanta I travel a lot to Mexico and have never had an issue there or in Dallas Ft. Worth however one time when I went through LA I was asked several questions about what I was doing in China and could I prove what I did for a living Business card etc thats about how pushy I have gotten. not bad no problem. And the only thing I know about the Crimson Tide is that Gene Hackman and Denzel Whashington stared in it. I do live just north fo Tuscaloosa
